Treated like royalty, yet felt like family, during my delightful stay at Mar Hall! Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious, with a lovely garden view. Our dining room experience was delightful and every meal delicious. But I must say that it was the hospitality of the staff that made the experience amazing and memorable! From Alan, the Concierge, to the front desk and dining staff, we were attended to and never left wanting! We look forward to returning and highly recommend Mar Hall to others!

Absolutely exceptional in every way! We were picking up family from the airport and booked here last minute after delays and were sooo pleasantly surprised! We stayed in a deluxe double room and it was incredible! Had stunning windows, lovely furnishings and a super comfortable bed. The staff really made the whole experience though! Alan (concierge) and Arlene (front desk) especially were so kind and helpful. Can’t wait to stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at Mar Hall Hotel two weeks ago. (sad to see it has since gone into administration but still open as usual until they have a buyer) The grounds and building are spectacular. The room was bright and airy and very comfortable with a large bath and separate shower. They'd left wine and bottles of water in the room. The afternoon tea lounge area and dining room are full of character. The food was decent. And pool area is quite good. The breakfast was extremely disappointing - we've had nicer breakfasts with better buffets in 3 star hotels. A lot of the spa facilities were closed and there were hot tubs dotted around the grounds in gorgeous locations but sadly they weren't available for hotel guests . Sadly, it's definitely not a 5 star, as advertised (ie nowhere near in the same league as @thegleneagleshotel but it's a decent, nice stay if you get a good deal eg we paid £175 DBB, which I felt was fair.

We have stayed a few times at Mar Hall and have always experienced the best service, this time was no different. All staff interactions were superb, the room was lovely and the food was exceptional. The grounds were immaculate and we were fortunate enough to get some sunshine for this time of year. Highly recommend. Will stay again.

Excellent one night stay at Mar Hall. We were welcomed by Alan, the Concierge, at the front steps and had attentive, friendly staff throughout our stay. Our room was large and comfortable with a generous bathroom and lots of hot water for baths. We ate in the dining room and the food was delicious. We enjoyed three courses and liquer coffees. Breakfast was equally good. We are looking forwards to booking a long stay in the future.

This is my third visit, my partner and I first visited during Covid in 2021, ( we loved the outdoors Hottub and hot beds - we hope they survive the refurbishment, what a view!) it’s a beautiful place, we made sure to book 2 nights on our future visits as one night is not enough to enjoy the full experience of the hotel, the location is stunning. The rooms are beautiful , the staff are so friendly and attentive and the food is amazing !! There is nothing to not like . My partner and I had a 2 night stay at the end of February and it was even better than we had remembered, we loved relaxing by the pool . I booked to take Mam for Mother’s Day we were slightly disappointed that the pool was closed due to the refurb but everyone made her trip feel very special we soon forgot that, especially when we got a wee cheeky surprise drinks tray to welcome us back . Every member of staff is friendly and chatty and make you feel so welcome . During both my recent 2 night stays we did not leave the hotel , it is so relaxing just to sit in the grand hall reading a book , the perfect weekend break . Loved the afternoon tea too that was a nice touch for mother day.

My husband and I went for a weekend away to Mar Hall. It is currently undergoing renovations and there was plenty evidence of this around the buildings. That did not detract from our stay at all. The staff right throughout our stay were friendly, helpful and polite. The food was delicious and the bedroom was very well appointed and the bed comfortable. My only other comment is that they don't allow tips to be put on credit cards which means you will need cash to tip the staff if you wish to do so and I for one definitely felt they all did.

Enjoyable stay with great breakfast. THe hotel is tired and ready for a refurbishment. The Lithiuanian girl working in the spa really spoiled our stay though, she was very rude and also unprofessional and not what I would expect from this standard of hotel. We would return just not to the spa.
