No blanket no pillows provided for kids, no reception after 9pm. Sofa-bed broken, poor breakfast! Will not recommend for the family.

Has potential due to its history and surroundings, but falls short in too many areas. Very outdated rooms and service not always up to the level one would expect in a place like this. Seems to be struggling with where they want to direct their business focus on and this is visible to the customers.

Backbyn Kartano is a wellness hotel on the site of the old manor, which also houses the restaurant and breakfast rooms. The hotel itself dates back to the 1970s. The rooms and the ambience there correspond to the style of that time. There is a swimming pool and of course a sauna. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was not very good for Finnish standards and varied, less quantity on the buffet, but more variations would have been better. However, requests were made. The dinner in the restaurant was very good though. The hotel also offers beautiful surroundings for hiking or cycling. Overall recommendable if you are there by car and like the location in Espoo, although it is out of the way but very quiet and nice.

Kort avstånd från Helsingfors, lantligt, tyst o fridfullt. Stort rum. Enda påpekandet är att man kunde ha sandat - allt var glashalt pga töväder och återfrysning. Detta var min andra vistelse och jag kommer garanterat nästa pr igen. Husdjursvänligt!

Huoneeni sijaitsi rakennuksen toisessa päädyssä, mutta auton sai parkkiin heti ulko-oven viereen. Jonkin verran kuului ääniä käytävästä, mutta sänky oli hyvä ja laadukas. Allasosastolla pääsi uimaan ja porealtaaseen, mutta en pitänyt siitä että miesten kanssa yhteisen höyrysaunan kautta oli vapaa pääsy ja näköyhteys naisten suihkutilaan. (Joku pieni lapsi piti ovea auki.) Aamiainen oli hyvä, mutta loppuu lauantaina melko aikaisin, jo klo 9.30. Käytin hotellin palveluja nyt toista kertaa ja tulen todennäköisesti uudelleen.
