We got a voucher from my parents for an afternoon tea here. Booking was simple and easy. The house is in a beautiful location with plenty of parking. Our afternoon tea was exceptional with everything being homemade. There was so much we had to ask for a box to take the cakes home. The owner spent time chatting to us and telling us all about the history of the house. We stay local and we will 100% return!

Exceptional. Stayed in this beautiful well maintained guest house with fabulous, friendly hosts, the room we stayed in was immaculate(as was the rest of the house throughout) with tea/coffee making facilities and real milk! Room had fabulous views across Cromarty Firth. Excellent breakfast, served in the conservatory with stunning views across the countryside. Location was perfect and peaceful with local manageable walks, but yet not far from the local village of Evanton.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kiltearn Guest house wish I had booked a second night We were met with an warm and friendly welcome, time was taken to show us round this charming guest house and finally taken to our spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated room with sea view- fresh flowers awaited , fresh milk in a tiny fridge - beautiful linen and the most fluffiest of towels. Most thoughtful of hosts . I had ordered the Picnic option which was most memorable - delicious local produce- generous selection with all the items you need for a picnic ( bottle opener, glasses, mugs , salt and pepper , homemade chutney, cutting board , gingham place settings , napkins - and a flask of hot water - we had a lovely evening sitting outside which they can’t always deliver in the Scottish Highlands even in the Summer. Breakfast again was amazing - after a very refreshing sleep . Wish we could have stayed longer - plan to return in the future Their web page is full of information - where to visit and eat - lots of detail- the attention to detail is exceptional.

Its clean, the views are very nice, and the breakfast is well done. Ed and Emily arrange laundry if required. There is good parking. Its peaceful and quiet. The rooms are well made out with nice linen, and wi-fi. We felt at ease and enjoyed meeting fellow guests

This was my second stay as the first time surpassed all expectations. This is a wonderful old property with attention to detail with everything, the rooms are beautifully decorated and a lot of thought has gone into what you would need eg you have a little fridge for fresh milk, a good supply of plug sockets, lovely local soap in the shower room. I am coeliac and they went to the trouble of getting gluten free biscuits for me with the tea and coffee making facilities. This is the ONLY hotel/guest house I have stayed at that has thought of this. They knew exactly what they were doing re the cross contamination at breakfast and I had a choice of bread and croissants. There is no restaurant for dinner but they do do an afternoon tea and food platters which you can order. The area is lovely to walk from or you can take a short drive. I would highly recommend this guest house and will certainly be returning.

Kiltearn Guest house was recommended and did not disappoint. What a fabulous house which has been decorated sympathetically , keeping many original features such as the original sash windows and stained glass windows around the house. Additional touches such as home made cake in your room and the electric blanket ensure guests comfort and feel at home during their stay. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious with several hot and cold options to choose from. It is in a stunning location right on the shore of the Moray Firth, with views across towards the Black Isle. Emily and Ed make us feel very welcome and even made dinner reservations for us in two great bistro pubs - the Inver Inn and the Allengrange Arms we were not disappointed by either. All in all a great place to stay for more than one night so you can really relax and enjoy it all.

Just love this place. Very convenient quiet location if heading north of Inverness or exploring the area. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with all the facilities needed, and some with good views over the river. Nice homely lounge too. The hosts are wonderful and make you feel welcome in their home. The breakfasts are fresh and tasty and the evening platter (if ordered in advance) is superb. Highly recommended and I hope to return soon!
