Rooms are nice and some under renovation. The smell inside was very strong and very damp. Beds & couches were comfy. Shower was fine. The room we stayed in needs new filters and/or a dehumidifier. The floor was coming up in places. Overall, it was a decent halfway point to stop and sleep, I’d probably go somewhere else next time though.

Property had been redone but very poorly. Our door was glass and would not lock. They fixed the lock but the door still had a portion you could see through and there was no dead bolt. Security is very important for a family trip and this hotel did not feel secure.

This is an older unit, but the new owner is updating it.
However. they replaced the older queen mattress with a new double one, but did not replace the base! So, you have to be careful not to hit the frame with your leg! There is a very nice porch, but has table & 2 chairs that are really too big for the area. There is not much to do in Everglades City, but my friend & I had fun as we had scheduled a airboat tour, which was amazing! Overall, it is a nice.but older motel!

I purchased this stay as a gift for my parents because I was told the hotel was being renovated & rooms would be updated. They were so unhappy. The bathroom was so moldy, there was only one small nightstand, there was no surface area at all to place luggage. such a disappointment!!

overall nice place, but we were redirected to another hotel because there was an electrical issue at The Captains Table, the place we stayed had pretty thin walls, heard the guy beside us snoring all night

We really liked the pool. The room was okay, but the airco made a lot of noise throughout the night. It kept us awake.

1. Bedding queen size for full size beds
2. Bathroom Toilet paper holder falling off
3. Shower floor very uneven
4. Curtain rod held on with painters tape
5. Paint scuff marks all over
6. Mosquitoes as screen is broken/missing downstairs
7. Tv: have to stand to turn on and hard to change channels. Wires hanging down
8. Lock on door
9. No fan in the bathroom
10. Toilet seat was loose
11. Have to hold the handle to flush the toilet
12. unable to open the windows would not open.

Check in was at another location which was odd. Clean and being renovated but still needed a few updates. Front desk staff is great! I think some units have permanent residents.
