GGuest UserWeihai is a beautiful city, and the Sunshine Hotel where I stayed also brought me a pleasant mood. The hotel is located in the north of Huancuilou Park, with a quiet environment. Going east is the bustling Zodiac Street and Weigao Square, and the night market is particularly lively. The hotel also upgraded the standard for free. What touched me most was that when I checked out, I asked to check the room, and the beautiful lady at the front desk said, no, we don’t need to check for guests. This kind of trust is rare and also represents the overall quality and humanistic feelings of Weihai. If I have the opportunity to come to Weihai again, I will still choose Sunshine Hotel.

GGuest UserThe owners and their parents at this guesthouse were incredibly kind. They not only provided us with a room, but also went out of their way to take care of everything for us; I felt so embarrassed! The environment was lovely, and there were plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby. We even went to the market to buy seafood, and they prepared tableware and a table for us, and even started a fire to steam the seafood for us. They also had homegrown fruits and vegetables in the backyard for us to eat, and they even gave my child popsicles. The guesthouse also had kittens; the owner's mother is very kind and feeds stray cats, adopting those abandoned by others. Having kittens added so much joy for my child. The attention to detail was excellent; the rooms were spotless, and they even provided disinfectant spray. Friends, if you're visiting Rongcheng, Weihai, you absolutely must check this place out! I highly recommend it, and the price is very reasonable.

MMindtalityI recently visited this hot spring, and every part of the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with genuine warmth and kindness, going above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. They gave me more than I expected, and their hospitality truly made the entire visit unforgettable. The facilities were spotless, beautifully maintained, and relaxing in every way. The water temperature was perfect, the atmosphere calm and peaceful, and everything felt thoughtfully arranged for guests to unwind. It’s clear the team takes great pride in their work and genuinely cares about their visitors. After soaking in the hot spring, I had a meal at the on-site restaurant, and the food was outstanding—the dumplings, in particular, were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. I would honestly come back just for those dumplings alone. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent service, delicious food, and a truly welcoming environment, this hot spring is the perfect choice. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff for your amazing hospitality—I’ll definitely be returning and sharing this experience with others.

SSOONHONGI asked for a non-smoking room, and I think that the hotel did give me one. But there is something everyone should know about who goes to China. Many still smoke indoors, even near kids. No room is truly free from smoke, I imagine. My room had a weak smell of smoke, and that scent was in all the places, from the lobby and lifts to the corridor. Still, the hotel staff were friendly and kind throughout my stay. Talking to them may be difficult if you do not speak Mandarin, as most staff know a little English, but a translation app helps a lot. They were all kind and happy to help. This was my first trip to Weihai, and the trip was for a friend’s wedding in one of the hotel’s halls. So, the spot was quite good for the event. If you go to Weihai just to see sites or other fun spots, you might want to look at other places to stay. That said, the hotel has a sweet sea view and parks by the sea, which is nice for a slow walk and some clean air.

We took the train to Weihai Station at 1:30 pm, and went straight to Liugong Island when we arrived at the station, because the history of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 must be told to the children. Other attractions are left to chance. The last boat to Liugong Island is at 3 o'clock, and there were not many people queuing for the boat when we went to the island. Check in first when you get to the island. Liugong Island Hotel is next to the cable car station and Dingyuan Ship. The No. 4 Courtyard we booked is not far away. It is the former site of the Beiyang Navy Hospital. There are two rows of bungalows in the courtyard, and the kang room is very distinctive. Before closing, we visited the Sino-Japanese War Exhibition Hall and Dingyuan Ship. After the last boat leaving the island at 6 pm, there were not many people on the island. We just played at the beach. In the evening, there is nothing else for children to play except the scenery of the island. To watch the sunset, you have to go to the westernmost part, and to watch the sunrise, you have to go to Donghong Fort. I didn't go with my two children to join in the fun. I thought it was unnecessary to stay overnight, but after taking the Grand Island Tour Bus early the next day, I gradually felt that there were too many people. I basically finished the tour and got off the island around 10 o'clock, and then I realized how wise it was to stay on the island. People waiting to get on the boat took pictures from the pier to the tourist center. The service staff of Liugong Island Hotel are very enthusiastic, and the dinner in the restaurant is delicious and not expensive. It is very good. It is recommended to move up the breakfast time to 7 o'clock, but the island cruise starts at 7 o'clock. If you eat slowly and catch up with the crowd, you will not have the advantage of staying on the island. 😁

We brought our child here during the Spring Festival to feed swans and seagulls and see the snow, which was very convenient. The beach is just a few steps downstairs. The room was warm, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all sorts of facilities, making it very child-friendly since kids still need home-cooked meals. The owner was also very straightforward. Some shops were closed during the Spring Festival, but there are plenty of other stores around. We hope to visit again in the summer.
