I stayed one night at this hotel, and the service was excellent. The hotel arranged for free pickup and drop off to and from the train station, and helped me with picking out a tour route through the town, and even with recommending places where I can get travel photos. Make sure to set up a WeChat account (especially if you don’t have a local Chinese number), so that the hotel can reach out to you in advance to help arrange your pickup and drop off (you want to take advantage of this if you’re not traveling with a tour group, as taxis and ride share cars can be harder to come by in Fenghuang Ancient City and Furong Town) and answering any questions you may have before arriving in town. All in all, highly recommend!

We stayed at the Fenghuang Shan Shui Hotel mid September, the Scenery by the River was beautiful day and night and only a couple of steps from the Hotel. The room( Queen Deluxe) was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Water. The Service lead by the Wonderful Ms Li and her team was exceptional. Very friendly, incredibly helpful and generous with their time. We highly recommend a stay at the Beautiful Fenghuang Shan Shui Hotel and unforgettable Fenghuang Ancient Town.

Fantastic location. So easy to access all main spots. We are very happy that we chose this hotel.
Advices for improvement:
1. put hairdryer for your guests. This would make the stay more comfortable.
2. Include coffee to your breakfast menu. Westerners love coffee in the mornings.

The hotel location was good with a more quieter environment , much more relaxing. The owner was sweet to give us a free upgrade of room and was very thoughtful with services and local snack - ginger sweet. And even offer to send us to high way station.
Highly recommended for the hotel and the service👍🏻

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The service from the staff and especially the manager was exceptional. Always helpful and friendly. We were able to connect with the hotel ahead of our stay to arrange for our transfer from the train station to the hotel. Everything went smoothly. Our family will visit again for sure. Thank you.

Best service we've experienced anywhere in China!
The staff were exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
They offer a shuttle to and from the train station, which was a huge help since booking Didi rides was difficult during our visit.
We stayed in the top suite; it was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The in-house snacks were a lovely touch and absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a Chinese-style buffet, and the noodles stood out - fresh and flavorful, made with locally sourced vegetables.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the busiest areas, but the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views make it completely worth it since it’s still in the old town. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Fenghuang!

We travelled as a group of 16 and were pleasantly upgraded to spacious Superior Rooms. Though quaint, the hotel impressed with its hearty breakfast spread featuring handmade dumplings, pastries, and both Western and Chinese dishes. The front desk was warm and welcoming, gifting us ginger candy. Peaceful riverside location away from the noise.
