Fantastic place to stay. Loved the lodges and the beautiful setting by the river - really relaxing and enjoyed taking a bottle of wine or two down to the river banks. The restaurant area was great, perfect to enjoy a drink or meal outdoors, and the food excellent. Really great service too. Would love to visit again the future!

Mr E and I spent three nights at Cathedral. The cabin is very authentic in a good way…lovely furnishings and well maintained. The only item lacking is a mini fridge but beyond that, it is very spacious and clean. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Food in the main lodge deserves a chef’s kiss. Continental breakfast plus a couple other options which are different daily. Had one dinner there once and it also was very good.

The price point for this "resort" should offer more than what is offered. First, no ubers or taxi's really operate in this area so unless you have your own vehicle you cant get around. We were with a tour group and one day we stayed behind. They offer no lunch here so without the ability to get around there is no food. There is no closet in the room or air conditioning. The cottages are small and average. the property is nice but next to a busy road with noises during the evening.

We spent 4 nights at Cathedral Mountain Lodge and had a lovely time. The location is great if you want to see Yoho Park and the Lake Louise/Moraine Lake area but not be in the middle of crowds. Our cabin was comfortable and the breakfasts in the morning were very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were a few minor problems, like lights not working in our cabin, the fact that you could not keep the fan on and the overhead light off (they were on one switch), no AC. And it is very close to the freeway, which was noisy and was visible from some parts of the property. You definitely feel like you are in the mountains but I did not feel as "away" from things as I would like. But I would still definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

This is a very special place, the location is great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cathedral Mountain Lodges. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great during our stay but the roaring log fire made the cabin super cosy. All the staff we so helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us, and even arranged a little surprise for our son at breakfast who received his exam results during our stay. The food at the restaurant was exceptional.

I don’t even know where to start I guess at check in which was awesome and we were able to spend some time catching our breath at the river before an amazing dinner. So amazing we made a reservation for the next night. They have thought of e doin the room even a luggage rack that is just a bit wider than the normal one - awesome for duffel bags Every single employee was friendly and helpful - even the folks ****ing the grounds I am already scheming to come back

This place though exceptionally beautiful, is not conducive for traveling with young children. They do not have the available amenities we needed for staying with my 13 month old daughter. We didn’t have the option for a crib or pack n play available to use, which is fine if you are driving and can bring one but most families traveling I presume do not pack a travel crib. At both meals, the restaurant didn’t have a booster or high chair available so I had to put my daughter in her stroller to eat. I kindly suggested to the front desk that these options should be available for families - as I imagine I’m not the first one to bring a baby or child to stay there. And for the price you pay to stay in such luxury cabins, I’d think they would have covered all these options to be available for any families that need such amenities and choose this location for lodging.

This place is expensive and that meant we expected quite a lot from it. I was a bit disappointed that the beautiful river seating location also looked up at the highway and the noisy cars and bikes but the mountains and river are gorgeous anyway. We had a premier loft cabin and there were 3 of us staying, therefore it was a shame there were just 2 chairs on the deck, 2 dressing gowns, 2 large towels. Yes I could have asked for more but the hotel knew there were 3 of us and could have set the cabin up accordingly. The sliding doors to the toilet were also broken which meant a lack of privacy when using the facilities. Food at the lodge was really good and the staff were welcoming. And even though we had some gripes it was a nice place to stay.

We were booked to stay for 2 nights. We had chosen this resort as it is supposedly a ‘sister hotel’ to Moraine Lake Lodge (a place we have stayed at many a time over the years). Unfortunately Moraine Lake Lodge was full. In view of the sister hotel claim, we had high expectations but we were very disappointed when we were shown our cabin. It was small with a sliding door to the bathroom which was noisy to operate (thinking of night-time). Within 20 minutes of arriving we were subjected to a lot of noise from the adjoining cabin and we could hear every word spoken. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and moved us to another cabin but only for the first night. It was a nicer cabin but there was a continual loud humming noise from the restaurant kitchen extractor fan, even during the night. Dinner was good but expensive. Breakfast was, in our opinion, appalling. A member of staff told us a coach party had been in early that morning and ate most of the buffet food. By 9:30am there was very little left and it wasn’t replenished. We left after one night.
