La Canna

In the month of August we spent 10 days at this property. It is located approximately 125 meters above the port of Filicudi. We opted for half board. The Hotel is simple but equipped with all comforts and imbued with a special magic that makes it timeless. Our room with a breathtaking view of Salina, Lipari, Panarea and Stromboli (I recommend making a little effort one morning and witnessing the sunrise) was permeated with the scents of rosemary and mint. The same goes for the terrace on which dinner is served. The Aeolian flavors accompanied our evenings and the excellent dishes also benefit from the vegetables coming from the family's garden. The staff was always very kind and professional. A warm greeting to Mr. Vincenzo who made us spend a wonderful holiday on the island.

We returned to this structure after a few years knowing its characteristics and spirit. We found what we hoped and expected: a room with a super panoramic terrace to relax in, a clean room and a restaurant with a priceless breathtaking view of Stromboli, Panarea, Salina and Lipari. Helpful and friendly staff, starting from Lino, tireless, through the cook Valentina and all the kitchen staff. A particularly heartfelt thank you to Alessandra and Maria Grazia who pampered us at every dinner with kindness and efficiency. See you soon!

Hotel located in a prime location with absolutely fabulous views. Rustic atmosphere, family run. Typical rooms with views of the Aeolian Islands everywhere. Restaurant on a terrace overlooking the port and a delightful hill full of terraces. Breakfast in a beautiful pool area. Flowers and nature around. From here you can breathe this magical island. Homemade and simple cooking. Thanks to all the staff! We will be back!

Just left and we already miss it! A remote and wild place like the island .. where you get lost over the days. A thank you and a special thought to the local "tycoon", our dear "Nino" keeper of the croissants and breakfasts .., forced to manage a limited patrimony of croissants, but distributed among the guests like a family man .. with a face serious but with a big heart, the girls who served us dinner and cleaned..always smiling and ready to please us...and the hard-working staff. Unfortunately, due to an obviously damaged tuna steak, I had terrible food poisoning which completely ruined my August 15th evening, forcing me to bed with hives, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia... I will never go back to this restaurant which has deeply disappointed. The view and the location, on the other hand, are wonderful, but unfortunately this unfortunate event had to be reported absolutely

Il mio compagno ed io per la prima volta arriviamo a Filicudi e subito rimaniamo colpiti dalla sua bellezza. Soggiornato in questo hotel con trattamento mezza pensione, camera n.9 semplice negli arredi ma con un terrazzo favoloso, impossibile dimenticare la vista mozzafiato! Ristorante più che ottimo, ogni sera piatti diversi, molta scelta, e una qualità della materia prima eccellente. E cosa più importante sono stati i proprietari e tutte le persone che lavorano nell hotel a rendere la vacanza speciale perché ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Un grazie di cuore a Vincenzo, Matteo, la super cuoca, Rita e a tutto lo staff. Il solo consiglio che posso dare è quello di prenotare anticipatamente un motorino che è comodo per visitare l'isola
