Hotel Tropic

Spent 5 days with a friend. Rooms very clean and WiFi perfect. Cleaned daily if required. Food very varied and plenty of choice. Wine available with evening meal. Enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again.

If you are British do not stay here. You are not welcome not included in Any entertainment or tannoy announcement no staff understand a word of English. The food is horrific dinner dosent start till 8pm and have queued until 10pm for what can only be described as slop unidentifiable meat and fish for a hotel it's size dinner consists of 4 hot trays and clearly cannot cope with residents and 100% not worth it. 30 minutes by bus to get anywhere near town there is a beach about 25 minutes walk but just a beach no cafe or bar the hotel has the smallest pool I've ever seen in a hotel and had to use pool in opposite hotel. BE AWARE TRANSFER COACHES Do NOT STOP AT THIS HOTEL your dropped a 10/15 mins walk away up hill

My wife and I have just been at Hotel Tropic Relax for 2 weeks this September 2023 and it was great . The staff was excellent Angela, Christena, Deago, and Mara were outstanding. They all help to make our stay as friendly and comfortable as could be. The food was great and the chefs made sure they had a good variety of different dishes each night. There was Entertainment each night with different shows. The sound of the waterfall was a plus and the peace and quiet after midnight was perfect for a good night's sleep. We had room 411 on the 4th floor nice and quiet. We will definitely be coming back to this gem of a hotel. It is about a 15-minute walk to the lovely beach.

Lovely Spanish Hotel with really friendly staff going that extra mile to make you feel welcome. The food was brilliant and each meal had plenty of choice and was accompanied with wine and water. Had two very comfortable double beds in the room which aided our great nights sleep and the room was cleaned daily (if required) by the efficient cleaning team. A ten minute walk takes you down to a fantastic cove where the beach is surrounded by quality bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. In the opposite direction there is a huge commercial centre with all the well known Spanish retailers so ideal for shoppers. A 25 minute stroll along the seafront will take you into Benidorm Old Town. The village of Finestrat is a must to visit and walk around with it's picturesque streets and magnificent views. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay here and a great location for exploring the coast to places like Altea and Calpe. Dont go here if you want the "Benidorm experience" but do visit this hotel if you want the chilled and relaxing Spanish experience. Came with my family and we were amazed on how lovely staff and the hotel was. The room had clean towels and fresh towels every morningthrough room service, the food was fresh and had different varieties every day. The facilities in the lounge and pool area was always clean and tidy and plenty to do either at hotel Relax or across the road at hotel Alone. The staff always went out their way to make sure we had what we needed, especially transport to other areas we needed help with. They were very polite and friendly especially when we didn't know much Spanish they still helped us and yes we were the only English there but didn't make a difference, they still were friendly would definitely go back with my family.

Stayed for 5 nights full board. When you consider the price we could not fault it. Room was modern and clean. Room service visited every day. The food was delicious. Complimentary wine and water with lunch and dinner. The staff treat you like a returning friend despite us speaking no Spanish and they only spoke a little English. There is entertainment every night tailored to the overwhelming majority of guests (Spanish people) so we didn't watch it. We had a lovely time. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Tropic.

We have just come back from a week away at hotel tropic relax. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean and our room was lovely and spacious especially the balcony , we found the staff friendly. We were however disappointed that the excursions were not made known to us and when we eventually found them we found them all to be in Spanish which is understandable but would have been more helpful if these were pointed out to us on arrival. Breakfast was nice but only a small selection and was quite the guessing game as to what some items are. Our only complaint was the music last night that was on until midnight, and was extremely loud to the point we heard it over the tv and kept our daughter awake, this wouldn’t have been a problem except we were on the 7th floor and were due to leave at 3am. However the rest of the week it was at a more appropriate volume. There was also no real information on what we could use in the sister hotel. WiFi was available albeit a little spotty but again not an issue unless you are in need of it. Unfortunately bedding and towels didn’t seem to be changed at all during our stay which considering the heat was not really good enough. In conclusion if you are Spanish you will have a fantastic time however if you are English I would really urge you to stay somewhere else

Pleasant greeting on arrival at reception and given room keys smooth process for check in. Room was a good size, clean and modern. Very pleasantly surprised as we booked this as a cheap little getaway! Bathroom also good size clean and modern. Lovely views from balcony. Although we were a little disappointed with the quality of the lighting (no BIG light or dressing table light... making it difficult when getting ready on a night... although the lamps and mood lighting was lovely in general not always practical). Also only plugs on 1 side of the bed despite having dressing tables on both sides 🤷‍♀️. We booked a double room and the beds included 2 small doubles pushed together (Loads of room for starfishing!) And were firm but comfy with crisp white linnens. Air conditioning included in the room although not the best it did make it slightly cooler and was fine for us as we stayed in October but would worry if we had been there in August! We actually put a piece of card into the wall to keep the electric and air con on whilst we were out if the room with the key card. NO TEA/COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES IN THE ROOM NO FRIDGE IN THE ROOM Although the bar downstairs makes a lovely coffee for €2 we did purchase a travel kettle for our room We booked as bed and breakfast... breakfast buffet was lovely, good variety catering to all tastes. Hot and cold options. Hot options varied slightly each day but always included a type of sausage and a type of egg, some days beans, some days hot croissants and more. Always fresh bread in several forms. Yogurts and fruits. Cereals. Pasteries. Ham and cheese. Coffee machine (although not great quality) and juice machine with several flavours. Pool area small but clean and well kept, suitable for couples but maybe less appropriate for families although I believe that residents of the hotel can use the sister hotel pool right next door too which has a slide and is more kid friendly (we didn't do this though). Unfortunately you have to move around the pool area to catch the sun at different times of the day due to the high walls and building surrounding but not really an issue as there was hardly ever anyone else there! Plenty of loungers and parasols. Outdoor tables and chairs too. Entertainment in the evening heard quite loudly in the room until around midnight but everywhere quiet as a mouse after that. All entertainment was very much for the Spanish and alot of staff dont speak good English either. Lovely location, less that 5 mins walk to the most beautiful beach cove... easy walk down one road with little shops along the way. 3 different supermarkets less than 5 minutes walk in each direction. Bus stops right outside the sister hotel (ALONE) taking you right into the busy Benidorm centre (Number 2 bus... €1.60... around 25min journey depending on stops... runs regularly every 20mins). Would definitely stay again!

Adequate budget hotel, clean, well maintained, friendly staff (those who spoke English), but let down by the breakfast (catered very much for the mainly Spanish guests), no kettles in the rooms, and an unfortunately positioned pool that didn't get the sun till 5pm,meaning that the water was freezing cold (it was warmer swimming in the sea). Having said all of that, the bar staff were very nice and couldn't do enough , particularly Oscar and Damian. Overall, a quiet location in a mainly Spanish area, away from the mayhem of Central Benidorm, on reflection though, I probably won't be staying here again. Make it more British friendly, and get some kettles in the rooms!!!
