Sofitel Mauritius l'Impérial Resort & Spa

The location of the hotel is stunning and the sunsets are amazing. The hotel is situated along with several others behind a natural reef approx. 200mtrs offshore, This creates a very large swimming pool with the ability to walk out to the reef at lower tides, great for snorkelling. The hotel itself I would describe as slightly missing its 5* rating. Its the little things you expect to happen that just not there. The staff very helpful and the food was excellent. Some renovations were going on, which we were advised of, but were due to finish around the time we arrived. This meant one restaurant closed and the spa operating out of some other rooms. Service along the beach was quick once ordered but you had to find the staff to order.
