B&B la Nannina

This is a very small operation on the first floor of a large apartment building, located very close to the Florence train station (why I selected it). The staff is great – when it’s available – the one problem with my stay here. One afternoon I walked out of my room to get a utensil, and a sudden gust of wind slammed the door shut, locking me out of my room for 30 minutes. This is one of a few times that I needed something and there was no one around to help. Apart from that, everything else was absolutely perfect. A small kitchen full of goodies was available 24/7, which I took full advantage of. The room was a decent size and comfortable, though the bathroom was laughably small, everything worked out well, including the rock-solid WIFI (once I logged into the right network). The staff was very helpful and polite … when they were there, that is. If you choose to stay here, a suggestion: Make absolutely sure you’ve worked out how to check in, access the property, and plan when you’ll be staying in the room and what your needs will be. You won’t always have someone around to attend to your needs when you may need a little help. Considering that, my five-star rating of this review feels a bit of a gift.

Great clean B & B in perfect location to train and touring Florence! Spacious room, but bathroom was very cramped. European standard I guess. Air conditioning worked well. There is a train right outside your room so if you’re a light sleeper it could bother you. But with AC running it was never a bother to us. Staff friendly and helpful.

We wanted to use Florence as a base for 7 nights whilst visiting Pisa and Siena with relative ease. As La Nannina is very close to the massive train station Santa Maria Novella, the bus station and even the tram service, the prices seemed very reasonable too, so decision was easily made. All those reviews that you read that talk highly of a spotlessly clean property, attention to personal requirements and the efficiency and friendliness of Andrea, Joseph and Roxanne do not lie or exaggerate! You enter through locked security gates, climb one floor to this delightful b&b (there is a lift if required). Only 4 bedrooms with the breakfast area a few steps away from your room. Excellent soundproofing, what's not to love 🥰. The team are always there to help, advise and are so very personable that we always enjoyed our chats and were very sorry to have to leave at the end of our stay. It felt like we were saying goodbye to friends....Because we had landed later in the evening, we chose to take a taxi to the b&b but chose to take the tram on our departure which was ridiculously easy and only 3 euros for the two of us. A very well situated accommodation, very clean and comfy, brekkie included, lots of helpful advice and amusing anecdotes so defo top marks on all counts !

Where do I start??! It was a pleasure staying at B&B La Nannina. The minute that I walked through the door, I was met with such positive energy and a beautiful scenery. The B&B was designed to look very comfy but also sophisticated and charming. It was a comfortable stay and the owners are exceptional with their service to customers. This is how it should be done and they will be used as the benchmark for my other stays in Italy. They owners were so lovely and I sensed them to be good-hearted. They provided and served breakfast which so lovely. They are very hands on and that made the experience even better. The locations is minutes away from the train station, super clean and convenient When it was time to checkout, I didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast because i wanted to make in time for the train, but I was packed a nice breakfast to bring with me on the journey. I have not always been met with such nice personalities but they stood out and was welcoming. God bless them and they business venture and if I return to Florence, I would definitely want to see them again. I feel satisfied and content and I highly recommend!

This was one of our best experiences ever. The place is extremely nice, designed and run in a very good taste. The owners/hosts are very kind and caring. He prepares and makes the breakfast and your coffee every morning how you like it. Makes you feel really welcome at his place. It is really clean, cleaning is done every day and you come back to a cleaned and tidied room after your day activities/trips. Cleanliness is very important to us and we were extremely satisfied all the time. They pay attention to the slightest details and this contributes to the overall experience big time. Thank you for the amazing stay, highly recommended and we would return any time without hesitation!

On our next trip to Florence we will definitely rebook at La Nannina B&B. Location top! Just 30 seconds walk from the main Train station Santa Maria Novella. Exceptionally cleaned! The fresh scent of flower in the room testified the attention to the detail. The outstanding customer service has impressed us! Breakfast was one of a kind with homemade cakes prepared by the host. Andrea went above and beyond allowing us to have a safe and smooth trip back home. And what’s more… there is no better way to end a holiday with a massage service they provide. Well done guys!
