Hotel S.Giorgio & Olimpic

An older hotel with a great location, right next to Chinatown and the cathedral. The facilities are a bit old but have everything you need, with an old-fashioned charm. You can really feel the distinct European style. The hotel keys are quite unique, and the breakfast is simple but quite tasty.

I can't help but pat myself on the back, and especially Trip.com, for choosing such a "wonderful" hotel. First, the location is superb; it's convenient for everything. Attractions and the train station are definitely within a 5-minute reach. Second, as soon as you walk in, you see the cozy living room (as pictured), which I had to admire every time I entered or left the hotel—it's simply too heartwarming! Lastly, I can accept the breakfast that many criticize; it's a standard ham + cheese, and the rich, oily coffee is a highlight. My only minor regret is the lack of salad, but considering the price, it's not an issue. And finally, back to the room rate: excellent Trip.com often adjusts prices, and the last two nights saw a price drop…

The hotel is very close to the train station, with various Chinese supermarkets, restaurants, and souvenir shops downstairs, which is very convenient. We arrived around 11 AM, and the owner allowed us to check in early and arranged a top-floor room with a balcony. The double bed was large and very comfortable, and the balcony view was absolutely stunning, directly overlooking the Duomo. With such a balcony, you almost don't want to go out! The hotel service was also good, and the breakfast was decent.

I stayed at two hotels in Florence, and this one was a standard, convenient hotel. However, the room was too small, and the breakfast was very mediocre. I'd recommend the other guesthouse more, comparatively. Both are within a five-minute walk from the train station. The pros are the excellent location, right next to a small square opposite the train station, so I never felt unsafe coming back late. It's also very close to all the attractions; just turn right out of the door and walk down the alley to find the Central Market and the Duomo. There's even a Chinese restaurant and a bubble tea shop downstairs.

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) train station. The rooms are clean, and the service is good. Breakfast is decent, and it offers great value for money.
