Hotel Porta Faenza Firenze

The location is quite good, within a ten-minute walk of the train station, the Florence Cathedral, and the art gallery. The hotel is a renovated old building. The room size is decent, and the wardrobe is an old-fashioned standalone wooden one with a few hangers. The bathroom is quite nice and modern, and the shower is convenient. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, various breads, and yogurt. The coffee is American-style, served directly from a pot. There's a water dispenser in the lobby, but it's a pitcher, and sometimes it's not refilled promptly.

The room was absolutely adorable!! Highly recommended for a girls' trip! It's close to the station and there were tons of restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. The only downside was that there were no tissues. 😭

The hotel was easily accessible from the station. The facilities, while a bit old, had a charming retro vibe, and the building itself had an Italian feel. The second picture is the breakfast area, and breakfast was delicious. The air conditioning worked well, and it seemed like Netflix was available on the TV. The refrigerator was also convenient. In the bathroom, I couldn't find a fan, so it got humid after a shower. Also, at night, people upstairs were noisy, and it seemed like sounds carried easily. However, with earplugs, it wouldn't be an issue. The reception staff were friendly, and you can store your luggage after checkout.

The room was impressively spacious, which was a big plus. However, the bathroom felt a bit small in comparison to the room size. The breakfast was excellent – definitely recommend adding it to your stay! A nice tip: if you ask the staff, they can specially prepare a cappuccino for you. It's also conveniently located not far from the train station, so I'd recommend it!

I stayed in Milan, Venice, Rome, and Florence, but this hotel was by far the best. The room was much cleaner than in the pictures, and the bathroom was perfect. There were plenty of mirrors and even a small shelf to place things, which was very convenient. I will definitely stay here again. The restaurant next door was always busy, and once I tried it, I found the food delicious and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended!

The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the train station. It's very clean, and they tidy up every day. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's delicious. The bed was comfortable too. All the attractions are within walking distance, and it's quiet at night, which is great for sleeping. There's even a kettle in the room. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, but it's perfectly adequate. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Unlike in China, duvet covers in Italy don't fully encase the duvet. There's just a thin sheet, and then an open duvet on top. If you're particular about this, I'd suggest bringing your own disposable duvet cover. On the first day, despite putting out the 'make up room' sign, our room wasn't cleaned. When I asked the front desk, they said the cleaning staff had already left and there was nothing they could do. I was too lazy to change hotels, so I extended my stay for another three days. I explicitly told the front desk that we wouldn't need breakfast for the last two days and clarified the breakfast prices – 8 euros per person per day for breakfast, and the price without. However, when checking out today, the front desk still charged me for three days including breakfast. When I argued with them, the **(expletive)** even got angry and had a terrible attitude. Eventually, they removed the breakfast charges for the last two days before we paid. The hygiene was just so-so; I found a stained towel on the first day. Breakfast was terrible, I couldn't stomach it after two mornings.
