Our three-night stay at the enchanted castle was simply magical. Reminiscent of a Harry Potter movie, the castle's charm and grandeur made us feel like characters in our own adventure. The stunning backdrop of Loch Ness added to the enchantment, with its tranquil waters beckoning us to search for Nessy. The unique welcome we received, complete with a bag of delightful treats and a bottle of wine, epitomized the exceptional hospitality that made our stay unforgettable. In every aspect, our time at the enchanted castle was a truly magical retreat.

The Abbey Is caped in all its history and glory located at the very southern part of the Loch Ness lake, in Fort Augusta’s. From the grounds my son (aged 6) and I admired the magnificent views down the lake which are quite literally breathtaking. We explored so much from here taking trips further up the lake, visiting the Loch Ness centre, Urquhart castle and even experienced exhilarating views at Great Glen Way. We loved returning to the comfortable apartment from our adventures, which is fully equipped for all the needs for resting, restoring and relaxing. We were very happy with what the place had to offer. A calm swim and sauna in a very historic swimming pool room. Followed by either a very small walk to restaurant near by, or even a take away fish and chips. We also rustled up some meals in the apartment. Then perhaps a game of pool or snooker on the full sized snooker table. Even chess on a normal size or a very large board game. We had such a wonderful experience on our stay.

This is a truly remarkable place steeped in history but now modern clean and very comfortable. Everything is catered for in your apartment and the village is merely a 5 minute stroll. I was exited at the fact they have a full size snooker table but sadly found it in need of recovering and repair although still just playable. Self catering is a great option but there are lots of eateries very close by and a great little supermarket too. Tennis, football,snooker,pool and a swimming pool have all the activities covered and then there is loch Ness ....amazing

Loved being back at The Highland Club this Easter. Took canoes up this time and paddled along the canal. So great to be out all day and come home to this historic sanctuary. Nothing like a swim and sauna in the old chapel to relieve tired muscles.

We stayed at the Highland Club which is set in one of the most beautiful locations. The apartment was very lovely and clean. There were many good facilities to keep the family entertained, including archery, badminton and table tennis. It also had a indoor swimming pool. In the evenings we were able to go the club lounge where we all enjoyed playing pool and snooker. We also booked a boat trip on the Loch Ness which had amazing views which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be revisiting Scotland again and staying at the wonderful Highland Club.

we were lucky to book 1 night in this place as we were passing through and it was amazing and beautiful place and we wished to extend our stay but unfortunately there was not available. but definitely will will plan another trip for this place. the apartment was well furnished, cozy and comfortable.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Highland Club. Everything you need is in the apartments and so many things to do locally. Strongly recommend!! We went with a 8 month old, and they were very accommodating with this as well.

We decided on a short weekend break at short notice and began the internet trawl for somewhere suitable - a cottage/house/villa/lodge to ourselves being the main requirement. After quite a bit of searching on the usual sites with almost no success we found "The Highland Club" and after checking on their website booked "The Nave", Abbey Church, No9 direct with a nice little discount. We had the option of 4 apartments for 2 people and a fenced garden for privacy/peace in The Nave won over a room with a Loch view. Met promptly on arrival by our host and given a guided tour of ground floor & facilities before ending up at our room. Wow - 2 spacious bedrooms (on en-suite) with doors to garden, and a living room/kitchen also with door onto garden. All the rooms were clean and well presented, with toiletries, linen and everything you need - a full range of kitchen items including Nutribullet, scales, salad spinner (stuff i didn't know I even needed on holiday) as well as a starter stock of water, milk, tea, coffee, wine, fruit, snacks, rice, pasta & noodles. Garden was lovely & peaceful with sun from just after midday and also kids toys. Maybe technically a pest, but we had a family of newborn rabbits in to nibble the grass and assortment of birds including a couple of ducks visit - peaceful to watch and entertainment of you take kids along. It's well worth exploring the rest of the ex-Monastery as it's stunning to look at. Indoor facilities include a small gym, pool/sauna/steam room (download the Highland Club app or scan the QR codes to book 1-hr slots), a lounge with full size snooker and pool tables, table tennis table and an outdoor giant chess board within the cloisters. In the grounds there's also a cricket pitch, tennis nets and a kids playground. If that's not enough, you can walk down the steps to the shores of Loch Ness. The Boathouse restaurant is worth a visit - if it's warm enough you can eat outdoors but wise to book a table indoors as quite a breeze can blow in from the Loch in the evening. Although the entire complex wasn't fully booked up, it still felt very peaceful and uncrowded Fort Augustus village is only a 2-3 minute walk away. Adequate parking on site and if (like us) you have an EV, there's a PodPoint charger for guest use.
