This is a great hotel in the centre of Fort William with its own car park. We stayed in room 6 which was big and really comfortable. Both the room and bathroom were spotless. The Breakfast in the morning was also first class. Hot food is cooked to order and you can help yourself to the continental. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We had booked a month in advance and received an email three days out saying our reservation was canceled due to construction and remodeling delays. We were already in another country at this point and had to scramble to find other accommodations. Obviously 'unforseen' things can't be planned for, just something other travelers may want to keep in mind when booking a smaller company

Never had the chance to stay here. Had reservation booked for May 2023 and just 3 weeks prior to arrival, hotel cancelled our reservation due to remodeling. Left us high and dry. Trying to find another hotel in area on such short notice is proving to be a problem. Traveling with a group. No help from Lime Tree. Travelers beware.

I would not choose this hotel to stay again on vacation. Too many problems to list. Over a couple of weeks in Scotland and staying at 5 different locations, this was the worst room and bathroom we had. Many things in need of repair. The restaurant was good and location was good.

Short stopover, great location with parking, very friendly staff and amazing view of the Loch. We stayed in the Mews and generally it was good, upstairs is a nice seating area and kitchen with all essentials. Downstairs it was cooler but ok once we turned the heat up. There is no wifi to the Mews and we struggled with the TV but it was checked as soon as we reported it. It has all the ingredients for a great small hotel, there was just some small things to focus on such as front door not closing properly unless locked, the wifi and other small things.

This is a small hotel and very charming. It feels family-run, which I don't think is the case at all. I highly recommend Room 1, which is a corner room with views of the loch and a four-poster bed. I wish I had stayed for dinner, as the breakfast was first class, with a chef preparing it from scratch right before your eyes.

My wife and I stayed for 2 windy and cold October nights at the Lime Tree. The hotel is dead easy to find and has some (limited parking). Check in formalities were nil, friendly staff. Our room (room 2) was as advertised and adequately spacious for two people for a couple of nights. That said the general quality of our room is why I gave the hotel 4 rather than 5 *: I would describe it as spotlessly clean but not great in general quality terms. Internet etc: all good! Staff: superb, competent, friendly and helpful. We did not have dinner at the restaurant (it was unfortunately closed) but breakfast was simply superb! I recommend this property

Given the price of £200 we expected much better. Has the feel of a place that has lacked investment. Our bathroom floor was in a poor state, mirror tiles peeling off the wall, the bath was full of hairs and you need to be a contortionist to access the toilet roll dispenser. Furniture was dusty and walls needed a paint, hopefully not the current dull 1970 colour scheme. Only a small narrow window seat to sit on and the road outside is noisy.  On the positive side the young staff are friendly and efficient, and food was good. This place lacks investment and proper management and seems to thrive due to the pathetically poor competition in the town. Breakfast needs to be ordered the night before and a time booked, not sure why this is the case in a hotel who have a restaurant. Receptionist said upgrades are planned.

We stayed at the Lime Tree after completing the West Highland Way. It felt like a reward. Staff were very welcoming, and our rooms were spacious and comfortable. I made enthusiastic use of the deep tub, and slept very well in a comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning was delicious.
