There are many hotels near the metro station. This one isn't the closest to the metro, but it's very near Qinghui Garden. There's always only one staff member at the front desk, which can cause delays. After checking in, they actually forgot to return our IDs, but thankfully, a staff member brought them to our room later. The room is spacious and even has a table, which is convenient for eating takeaways. However, the bathroom is a bit small. There's a self-service laundry room, which is very handy. What's unreasonable though, is that despite booking a double room, we only received one ticket to Qinghui Garden plus a guided tour. Qinghui Garden was already on our itinerary, so we couldn't just skip it. If both of us wanted to go, we'd have to pay an extra 66 yuan for the second ticket, which is more expensive than buying a regular ticket. It feels like a forced purchase. I really don't like this kind of overly clever tactic from the hotel.

The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! It's a quick 10-minute drive to Guangzhou South Railway Station, making it incredibly convenient for business travelers catching high-speed trains. This time, I got a complimentary room upgrade, which was a nice touch. Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel is Florence Town Outlet, perfect for families who want to shop without any hassle. The hotel's overall decor is grand and stylish, with a spacious and bright lobby. The facilities are top-notch, including a complimentary 24-hour gym, self-service laundry room, and multi-functional business meeting rooms. The breakfast buffet on the second floor offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious food. The front desk service was professional and efficient, and both check-in and check-out were handled quickly. The room was comfortable and cozy, with soft bedding, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. Whether you're transiting via high-speed rail or enjoying a leisurely shopping trip at the outlets, this is a top accommodation choice. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when traveling to and from Guangzhou South Railway Station, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

I had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be back. If you are looking for a high-end experience without the steep price tag, this is the perfect spot. It is located right next to the Marriott Hotel, and the layout feels remarkably similar. You’re getting a very comparable room setup but at a much more affordable rate. The room was spotless. XanaDeluxe Hotel Foshan Danzao — A Genuinely Great Stay with One Notable Flaw As someone who spent most of their trip based at the hotel, I can give a pretty thorough take on what it’s actually like to live in this place for a few days. First impressions The lobby sets the tone immediately. It’s clean, well-presented and the staff are genuinely professional. As an English speaker with only basic Mandarin, I was a little nervous about communication, but the front desk team went above and beyond with translation and made me feel completely at ease. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake. The Room My room was impressively clean overall. The only thing I’d flag is the carpet, which felt like it could use a deeper steam clean. Nothing alarming, and perfectly fine with slippers, but worth mentioning. The air conditioning though? Absolutely elite. Strong, reliable and a lifesaver. Facilities The fifth floor amenities are a real highlight. The gym has brand new equipment, fresh towels and complimentary water ready to go. I spent some solid time on the cardio machines and had zero complaints. The laundry room is also genuinely impressive — four washers, four dryers, plenty of seating, steamers and a dedicated ironing area. Very thoughtfully set up. Food The hotel has several dining options on-site. I tried the dim sum and it was solid. Good variety, good quality and a nice atmosphere. The One Thing That Needs Work Wi-Fi. For younger travellers especially, reliable internet is non-negotiable. Whether it was for remote work or just streaming, the speeds were consistently disappointing. Upload and download were both underwhelming. My cellular signal wasn’t great either, but I’d expect the hotel Wi-Fi to compensate for that, not add to the frustration. Final Verdict This is a hotel that genuinely nails the hospitality side of things. It’s clean, the staff are warm and professional, and the facilities are well above average. Sort out the Wi-Fi and this is easily a five-star experience across the board. I’d absolutely come back next time I’m in Danzao.

I had a truly satisfying stay, honestly, I couldn't find a single fault. Both the facilities and service were top-notch, and the staff were exceptionally professional, truly going above and beyond to accommodate every request. The room was standard but the river view was fantastic. You can confidently choose this hotel for your trip. I stayed here for three days, and Shunde's food goes without saying. Taking a swim when it was hot during the day was very pleasant. The location is a bit south, but it's only about a ten-dollar taxi ride to some of the popular foodie spots in the city. Here are a few small suggestions: 1. I'd suggest installing voice control for the room, or at least a timer for the air conditioning. The hotel's AC is incredibly powerful; the lobby was freezing, and even with the AC on all night in the room, it got a bit chilly. 2. The mattress was a little too soft; it would be better if it were firmer. 3. The touch buttons by the bed weren't very responsive, physical buttons would be better. Especially for opening the curtains, you had to keep pressing and holding. Despite these minor points, it was an excellent stay. Five-star review!

[Highly Recommended] In August 2026, during the peak summer season, after much comparison, we chose to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Foshan Shunde for our 3-day, 2-night trip. The hotel boasts an excellent location, adjacent to the Qiandeng Lake CBD. It's in the same building as the Marriott Hotel and is also a Marriott-branded property, offering moderate pricing. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with comfortable bedding and expansive views from the upper floors. Guests can also use the heated pool and gym at the Marriott Hotel in the same building, making it great value for money. The front desk efficiently handled check-in, the self-service breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and parking was free. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and short getaways. Hotel concierge Shirley Lin called in advance to inquire about our arrival time and check-in needs, and provided meticulous and attentive service throughout our stay – truly commendable!

Overall, I'm satisfied. Facilities: The parking lot is convenient. Hygiene: The room hygiene was satisfactory. Environment: Parking is convenient, and the hotel's location is pretty good, very close to Wangfujing Innovation Park (Gongfu Night Market). Service: Satisfactory. There was plenty of drinking water in the room, highly recommend. The front desk even provided a large umbrella to shield us from the rain when it was pouring.

I often eat at this hotel's buffet lunch, and it's delicious. So, this time, when traveling with friends and kids, we chose to stay here. Since it was a vacation, we mostly stayed at the hotel, so after an overall assessment, we picked this place. First, the hotel's environment is genuinely good. It's right next to Lingnan Tiandi, and the Ancestral Temple is right in front of you. The location is truly excellent, and the subway is also nearby. Second, the hotel facilities are decent and not old. We spent an hour in the gym, and there were quite a few pieces of equipment. Third, the hotel breakfast is very rich, though it gets crowded, so you have to look for a table. Otherwise, it's good. Also, the hotel rooms are fairly clean, but there's no separate shower; you have to stand in the bathtub, which is a bit inconvenient. Everything else was fine. The fan was quite noisy at night and affected my sleep. Finally, what I'm most unhappy about is the service. I arrived at the hotel at 2:30 PM. There were only a few people, and three desks were handling check-ins. I waited for a full half-hour, only to be told my room wasn't ready. Are you kidding me? Check-in is at 2 PM. My friend arrived at 2 PM and had already checked in, and she told them we were together. I also informed Ctrip in advance that we were together and requested rooms as close as possible. Then, an hour later, they told me the room hadn't been cleaned yet and asked me to wait. I was very unhappy and asked the front desk attendant to call her manager. The attendant went in and came out, then said they could arrange a room for me, but it wouldn't be on the same floor. This made me even angrier, so I insisted on speaking to the manager. The manager finally arrived late and told me that because it was the weekend, they were busy, and that's why the room wasn't ready. Hearing this made me even more annoyed. What's the point of telling me that? I want a solution. Then, after seeing Ctrip call me, she said she had arranged a room on the same floor, just a bit further away. I then asked if it was an upgrade because when I booked, it said upgrades were possible if rooms were available. My friend, who had the same room type, was upgraded to a king-size bed, while I had twin beds. The manager said there were no upgrade options for twin rooms and that to upgrade, I'd have to switch to a king bed. If there's no upgrade for twin rooms, then why do you state that upgrades are possible? But I really didn't have the energy to argue with her. I'm here to enjoy myself, not to get angry, so I just let it go. I had almost forgotten about all of this until just now, after checking out and sitting in the car home. My friend messaged me saying the hotel felt very apologetic for not upgrading me and had given her a small gift for me. I suddenly found it quite funny. You didn't give it to me when I checked out, but after I left, you gave it to my friend to pass on? What's the meaning of that? My friend and I rarely see each other once a year; do we have to meet up again specially for this? If you're truly apologetic, why didn't you bring it to me directly when I stayed for so long? I'm genuinely speechless with your hotel's service and arrangements. I'm not after your small gift; I'm just speechless at how you handled it. You did the work, you showed your intent, but you failed to make the guest feel it.

I took my child out for Children's Day. Facilities: To be honest, the play facilities are a bit old, but there are many food options inside, and the prices are cheaper than X-Long. We chose the stargazing room, and my child loved it, but I hope the cleanliness can be improved. Some hidden corners weren't cleaned properly, and there was a lot of dust in the room. The hotel package included access to the amusement park, but many facilities required additional payment, which felt a bit like a rip-off. What I did enjoy was the swimming and hot springs. It feels like Changlu really wants to be a resort, but perhaps due to the current economic downturn, it hasn't been able to maintain itself well. Overall, it was still an enjoyable trip. I hope Changlu improves!
