Ramada Foshan Hotel

This Ramada hotel boasts a convenient location right by the subway exit, offering direct access to attractions like Zumiao Temple and Qinghui Garden. Plus, it has its own parking lot, making it super handy for business travelers. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they even offered a thoughtful late check-out. The breakfast spread was varied and the service was warm and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean, and during my stay, they even gave complimentary drinks. There's a mini-fridge in the room and free laundry service too. It was a really pleasant stay overall!

The hotel's location right by the subway entrance is super convenient. I was also quite happy with the breakfast and the hairdryer in the room. On Chinese New Year's Eve, I was wandering alone and met a security guard (or perhaps a parking attendant) from Ximen. He was really kind and told me about a lively flower market I could visit. Many thanks to him! The only downside was that it was a bit noisy being close to the road. Everything else was excellent.

Everything about the hotel was fine, but seriously, why is there no air conditioning when it's this hot? It was so incredibly hot, hot, hot. I already went to bed late last night, and then I woke up at 6 AM because of the heat. It was so hot, hot, hot, I felt like I was melting. It was so uncomfortable, like ants crawling all over me, just so incredibly hot, hot, hot, hot, hot… I was in despair. I just wanted to open the window because it was quite cool outside, but the window only opened about 5 cm. I was so desperate, I thought about opening the door, but the hallway outside had the heating on, and it was so hot, hot, hot, hot, I had no words for it. I felt so impulsive, I was so hot. I called the front desk, and the person there was very nice, but couldn't solve anything. They said their hotel simply doesn't have AC when the weather is like this. But I think, for at least a mid-range hotel, is it really reasonable not to have air conditioning? I went to Hubei a while ago, where the average temperature was single digits, and I didn't encounter any warnings about not being able to use AC in the room, because the room was just stuffy and hot; it felt like you couldn't live without AC… I was so hot, I was practically jumping up and down. So I made a decision that I'm now really glad about: I went down to the front desk. Yep, of course, the front desk couldn't solve the AC problem, but the front desk itself was so cool! I just quietly leaned on the marble counter at the front desk, my chest, my face, my arms. I tried to get as much of my body as possible touching the counter. It was so cool, so cool, I felt the temperature drop significantly right away. The front desk staff was pretty good too; she offered us some fruit, but fruit was no use to me; I was hot, not hungry! And I didn't want the fruit as compensation for being woken up at 6 AM by the heat and desperately trying to cool down… So I declined. But the front desk counter was genuinely so cool. When I came back, I felt much better, but I was also wide awake. It's past 7 AM now, and I still haven't slept because I opened the window for ventilation, but it's incredibly noisy outside. Even a pig wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. Finally, what I want to say is, I'm really, really hot….
