The hotel's location is excellent, and the views are unbeatable. The dining was good, and the service was great. However, the hotel facilities need better maintenance and upgrades. The shower drain was slow, and the bathtub couldn't hold water. There were also too few power outlets, and some were loose with poor contact. I hope they conduct regular checks and replacements.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! I'll definitely be back. It was super convenient to walk to Qiandeng Lake, and the room was spacious and spotless with great views of both the lake and the city. The service was good too, and the tennis court was excellent. It would have been even better if the pool was heated. The breakfast spread was fantastic, and free parking was a big plus. Will certainly return!

Came to Foshan with my family for Chinese New Year, and the biggest surprise was the wonderful upgrade at the InterContinental Foshan! I was particularly impressed by Nicole and Icy, who contacted me before check-in to ask about my room preferences. This time, they even arranged a spacious suite for me. There's also a fantastic large kids' play area on the fifth floor, which my children absolutely loved!

Revisiting the area, I chose a hotel in a familiar location right next to Qiandeng Lake. The hotel is a bit old, so the facilities are dated; forget about screen mirroring to the TV. The room assigned wasn't lake-facing, but since I don't spend much time in the hotel, it wasn't a big deal. The room at the end of the hall was quite quiet. I'd suggest that next time, if a room at the end of the hall is assigned, they should mention it first to see if the guest minds. Older hotels really need to rely on service to compensate, and while there was some service, it wasn't exceptional. For instance, the mini-fridge water wasn't labeled as chargeable or complimentary, but the front desk waived the fee. The complimentary fruit, however, was visibly spoiled, turning what should have been a bonus into a negative point. Quite amusing. I didn't have time to experience the executive lounge that was included. Breakfast was decent, nothing special.

We stayed for three days with our kids and were very satisfied with the room. The facilities were new and complete. The hotel's location is excellent, right within Qiandeng Lake. It's a five-minute walk to the delicious and lively 'City That Never Sleeps' snack street, and also five minutes to the light show and boat tours. The room had a large bathtub, a tidy walk-in closet, and was completely free of noise. More importantly, the hotel manager, staff, restaurant servers, and cleaning ladies were all very polite, greeting us whenever we met, and professionally and quickly handled our request to change rooms. The hotel's decor is unique, as you can see from the pictures, and the kids' club on the fifth floor kept our child thoroughly entertained. Both breakfast and lunch deserve full marks, especially the pan-fried salmon bones and sliced duck at breakfast, which were incredibly delicious. Unlike the bustling Zumiao Temple and Xintiandi, Qiandeng Lake is perfect for those seeking relaxation after a lively time. Strolling around Qiandeng Lake during the Spring Festival was incredibly pleasant. If you have three days to explore, I recommend staying near Zumiao Temple and Renshou Temple first. That area offers a rich historical background, wonderful Spring Festival performances, and the stunningly renovated Renshou Temple. Afterwards, you can come to the new city, enjoy the evening breeze by Qiandeng Lake, and experience the five-star service of the Poly Intercontinental Hotel.

The hotel's location right next to Qiandeng Lake is fantastic; it's perfect for a stroll by the lake after dinner. We came here to celebrate my baby's birthday, and after mentioning it when I booked, the hotel upgraded our room for free and did a wonderful job with the birthday decorations for the little one. It was really great!
