Hotels in Ancestral Temple/Lingnan Tiandi, Foshan

We usually choose Atour Group hotels whenever we travel in China, as our past stays have always been very good. That is why we chose this property as well. However, the housekeeping here did not meet the standard we expected. On the first night, there was paper left on the toilet floor near the bin. On the second day, the housekeeper forgot to replace the cups. As disposable cups were provided and we used them daily for our vitamin C drinks, this was inconvenient. Otherwise, location is great and generally clean with all the amenities needed.

Excellent hotel experience, I will definitely booked this hotel when I visit Foshan again and strongly recommend to friends and families. This is my first time visiting China alone and it is the first time booked this hotel. The location of the hotel is in centre of tourist attractions. Convenient and affordable. All staffs are so friendly, , breakfast has so much variety, good quality food, tea and coffee. Some items are made to order. Every individual staff made me feel so welcome , as a solo traveller, I feel like home away from home. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and affordable. Housekeepers are so friendly and professional. Concierge: Winnie, Vivian, Leona and Cheryl are all so friendly, helpful, they are always available for assistance and never hesitate to help me with whatever questions I have or anything I asked for. General Manager, Brian is so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. All staffs seem happy to work there and they all remember me and greet me by my name. I feel so pampered, spoiled and welcomed. I even received a special souvenir from the hotel to bring back to Canada.

Overall, great experience for this hotel! Though the hotel is slightly further from the nearest metro station, it is still very manageable. The staff was kind and friendly and upgraded our room to a more spacious one. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and was tasty. Room was clean with a great view from the 41st floor and WiFi has international access along with the TV, greatly appreciated!

The front desk staff members were all very friendly and helpful. They were all very polite. The location was great and close to many shopping malls and local food. The room was clean with all the amenities provided. The hot food of the breakfast were a bit towards the spicy side but were tasty. Would recommend to all.

The hotel is very close to Ancestral Temple, and there's a residential area nearby where you can find authentic and affordable breakfast. The room was quite cold on the night we checked in, and the AC only blew cold air. We called the front desk, and they promptly brought up a heater. Parking was convenient. However, I noticed many rooms had their doors open after check-out, dark and messy inside, which wasn't a great impression.

This was my first time staying at an UrCove by Hyatt hotel. The manager, LY, was young, energetic, and very friendly. The room was clean and tidy, and they offered complimentary late-night snacks. The best part was the free self-service laundry and dryer – it was perfect for washing some clothes during our Christmas trip with friends. The breakfast had a great variety, offering both Western and Chinese buffet options with a nice view. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I found this Holiday Inn Express on Trip.com, and seeing its good reviews and location, I booked it directly. It turned out to be a great choice, no regrets at all – fantastic value for money! The biggest surprise was the location and transportation. It's less than 100 meters from Exit C of the subway station. Getting to Zumiao Temple and Lingnan Tiandi is just a 10-odd yuan taxi ride or an easy subway trip, so no time is wasted on commuting. Plus, the hotel is connected to the Xin DNA shopping mall, with a supermarket, restaurants, and a cinema downstairs. If you want a late-night snack or to buy something, you just head downstairs – a lazy person's dream! The room has the typical practical layout you see on Trip.com, around 28 square meters, and it wasn't cramped for two people. The bedding was very clean, the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – and there were pillows of different firmness levels to choose from. Getting a good night's sleep after a tiring journey is crucial. The bathroom was sparkling clean with no strange smells; I felt completely at ease regarding hygiene. The decor is a bit minimalist, though, with plain walls and basic-looking furniture, but it's clean and durable, which is perfectly adequate for this price point. The breakfast was also super delicious, but unfortunately, my friend had a medical check-up and couldn't join. Hahahaha

The Christmas decorations in the lobby's fish tank were incredibly creative, really setting a festive mood – I couldn't stop taking pictures! A special shout-out to Ivy; her service was professional and warm. She helped us with a room upgrade and patiently answered all our questions. The hotel facilities are very well-maintained: the pool water is crystal clear, the gym equipment is comprehensive, and the cleanliness is impeccable, with no strange odors. It was a fantastic stay!

It saved a lot of time getting to major attractions or business districts. The overall decor is modern and elegant, and all facilities are new. From the lobby and corridors to the guest rooms, you can see evidence of meticulous upkeep, making for a very comfortable stay. This stay was very pleasant and offered excellent value for money. I stayed as a business traveler and was disappointed. The 100‑inch cinema room was an overhead projector with no English content, and the Wi‑Fi was super slow, so I couldn't stream. The receptionist said there was nothing he could do. The promised high‑tea voucher and cultural gift never appeared, and the room felt dated. The only saving grace is excellent location, everything was at doorstep. From a 7‑Eleven to high end shopping malls and subway right outside.
