Hotel Horda

Location - can be a plus or a minus, depends on what you like. The hotel is right on the edge of town, so there are no restaurants, pubs or shops nearby, but it's generally quiet and peaceful (if you don't count the lorries passing by - but there aren't that many and you can ignore that). The room was quiet. Room with terrace - the room looked dated but the size was adequate. No possibility to make yourself a coffee or tea. Terrace fully open to the surroundings, lots of greenery everywhere. For smokers ideal. No air con in the room may be a problem on hot summer days. Grounds/environment - the hotel grounds are large, there is a mass of greenery, which makes staying even for one night feel like a holiday. Parking - included in the price, there are plenty of spaces. Restaurant - it is good that there is one, because it is very far to the others. For dinner, I ordered dumplings with meat - I have had better dough, but the stuffing was excellent, you could feel that it was meat and not some ground mass. Breakfast was tasty, plenty of choice, enough for me. However, the coffee from the drip machine was weak and it seems that such a nice facility, with such a number of foreign tourists, should get a proper coffee machine. The staff were pleasant, friendly. The only thing that was a big downside of the stay was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom. The room with a terrace is on the lowest level of the building, so maybe for this reason there was a "sewer smell" in the bathroom, maybe the plumbing is not functioning as it should. This is a considerable drawback, as every time you enter the bathroom it almost causes a vomiting reflex. Such a nice hotel should fix this.
