From the moment we arrived, Sarah made us feel like it was our home for the time of our stay. The lodge is a beautifully appointed historic building reflecting its history and growth whilst at the same time offering modern day comfort. Great gardens and swimming pool with a look out tower a short walk away. Stunning delicious home made breakfasts are a wonderful way to start the day. I can fully recommend a few days here.

This is a charming building full of history. Our checkin was short and to the point. The next morning we discovered much more which would have made our stay different. As the family who manage the lodge were busy we searched around to find the items we were after in the kitchen. The rooms are lovely, however as there is no air conditioning, which we understand in the climate and the historical nature of the building, it was vey hot over night. Having the window open wasn’t possible. I believe a stay in autumn or spring may be a better choice.

My friend and I just returned from an overnight here. The hospitality was first rate. From Elijah and to you Summer, who made our stay the cherry on top. Chef’s kiss! The breakfast was outstanding, poolside was just what we needed after a hectic week. One night here was exactly what was needed. Oh my goodness we just loved the quiet and peaceful grounds. I highly recommend this place if you want some true hospitality from some very gracious and loving people. Thank you so so much. Next time we are staying longer!!! A hidden gem. Bonus for the Pretty cemetary

Isolated lodge in lovely rural setting. Friendly manager, comfortable room and excellent breakfast, perfect for a one night or short stay. Would use again if visiting that area.

This is a wonderful getaway for couples, or for very small companies (less than 10) for meetings and lunch. There is no nearby grocery, and our room did not have a fridge or desk/table -- this isn't someplace you go to "get work done." There is a beautiful walking trail, and soon a tower to eagle-watch. The breakfast was simple and delicious, very filling. Wi fi was strong. A great place overall, though not overly recommended for children - not much for them to do there. It's more of a grown-up getaway. For them it's lovely!

This was our first experience at staying at a B&B and our superb hosts Al and Denny have spoiled us. This place is really special, beautiful old antiques, a house full of history in a unique setting. The wonderful breakfasts are truly an added bonus. Homemade jams and jellies, fresh ground coffee, fruit bowls and a cooked breakfast that changes daily.

Wonderful experience. Felt like home. This was the second time we have stayed here in 2023. Sarah is amazing at making sure you have everything you need, and she makes a yummy breakfast. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. It is an old home so there are some areas that are showing age, but the home is very warm, inviting and very quiet. We will be back!
