The Beaconsfield Hotel

Left on street! Took money! Arrived with young family later than expected. They did not let us in. We tried for two hours phoning and begging to be let in. As it didn’t feel like a safe area, we went back to the airport and had to sleep there. When speaking to them on the phone the following day, they lied about phone calls and asked me to send through a phone log.  They also said they would phone me back which they did not. I tried to send through the phone log as proof as requested, but they had given me fake emails. Each time I call I am told the manager will phone me back but nobody does. They have taken our money and ruined a family holiday. In addition to the night of the hotel, we had also had to pay for taxi to, and from the airport and could not do our trip the following day due to lack of sleep. This hotel is known as both of the Beaconsfield and The Wray. Please do not trust either I do not want other people to go through what my family had to.

Great pub, my stay was comfortable. Rooms were clean and staff were very helpful. Very close to cappuccino ***** (walking distance) great food specials they have special every day. It would have been even nicer if they had en-suite however the shared toilets were clean and well kept so no issues. I will definitely be returning

Wray hotel sports bar has best food specials chips to die for battered with gourmet salad and parmi or steak or what ever special of the day food always consistent and large portions ranging from $14 bloody bargain beautiful clean relaxed modern atmosphere with amazing bar staff who love there jobs thankyou jacey for great customer service once you come here you will come back I guarantee

Arrived with young family later than expected. Did not allow us in, stranded outside on first night of holiday in rough area. After trying for 2 hours, had to go back to airport and sleep there. When contacted hotel next day, they lied about not receiving phone calls, said they would email, then didn’t. They then gave me a fake email. Phoned 6 more times, told manager would call back, which they did not. They have taken our money and ruined a family holiday that we have worked hard for for years. The hotel is also known under 2 names, so don’t get duped… also known as The Beaconsfield.

I stayed for 4 nights, the room was clean and tidy with comfortable bed. Separate toilet and shower for men and women. Shared kitchenette was clean and very handy to use. tried their food which was delicious. Everyday food specials with good dollar value. The staff was very helpful as they let me put my luggage at hotel after i had checked out - safe and secure. Bus stop very closeby and walking distance to centre of Fremantle.

My stay at the Wray Hotel was amazing. Comfortable rooms, the building is heritage site so you would obviously expect a vintage style. The room was clean, comfortable bed and clean crisp pillows. My son and I went down to have their food, the food is great. They provide free parking onsite which was a plus point. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as I needed to check-in late and the manager made the entire process easy and smooth. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Accommodation at the hotel is an afterthought. Had to check in at the Sports Bar when the staff eventually decided to stop serving to give us a key. Our bedroom door was damaged apparently from being kicked in the week prior. Room had holes in the wall, dirty cushions found in the drawer, cigarette hole in pillow cases and over frozen freezer in fridge. Shared bathroom facilities dirty including men’s pants left on the floor, fire exits blocked with bags of dirty bedding. No aircon - ceiling fan circulating hot air (41degs day). I believe the facilities at a YHA would have been better. On a brighter note walkable to town - 1.3km to cafe ***** and were grateful our car wasn’t damaged in the patrons car park.

Went on a Tuesday and had the fish special, generous serve of snapper well cooked and presented, great beers and atmosphere pleasant in the sports bar. The walls had recently been updated with Aussie and international sports stars and memorabilia, including our Matilda ******es!

Cancelled my booking 15 minutes before I was due to check in. Then aggressively refused to assist with alternatives. This was on a Saturday night in Fremantle when it is too late to find any reasonably priced other options. It is utter unreasonable to provide 15 minutes notice of a cancelled booking. I had already travelled 200 km.
