Richmond Hotel Tenjin Nishi-Dori

Just a few minutes' walk from Tenjin Station, the location is excellent. Being in the Tenjin shopping district, it's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The room was quite spacious, with plenty of room to open our suitcases. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy.

The hotel is right inside Iwataya, which makes shopping super convenient. However, the room is tiny; 26 sq meters felt very cramped. The front desk staff weren't as cold as some reviews mentioned, and the service, along with other aspects, was pretty standard.

This hotel boasts a prime location right in the heart of Fukuoka's Tenjin Nishi-dori. It's directly across the street from Iwataya department store and Ichiran Ramen, with Tenjin Underground Mall, various shopping centers, Don Quijote, Zara, trendy fashion streets, the subway, and the Nishitetsu Tenjin express bus terminal all within easy reach. There are also tons of great restaurants within walking distance. The self-check-in process was super convenient, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and for Japan, it was actually quite spacious – enough room to open up two suitcases comfortably. The shower had excellent water pressure. My only minor complaints are that the sink is a bit low and the water pressure for the faucet is on the weaker side. This will definitely be my go-to hotel next time I visit Fukuoka!

Great location, close to photo spots, shopping malls, and restaurants. I'd definitely stay there again.

The location is great, close to claw machine arcades, restaurants, shopping streets, an underground mall, and Don Quijote. We could easily access the subway station with a stroller. There are also many coffee shops nearby for breakfast. The room was spacious enough for us to store the stroller and open three suitcases at the same time.
