Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Fukuoka

I don't understand why some people dislike this hotel; my daughter and I had an excellent experience. Here are the advantages: 1. **Shopping**: The hotel is located in the heart of Tenjin's most bustling commercial district. Iwataya and Parco are just steps away. We usually shopped at each store, took our bags back to the room for a short break, and then went back out for more retail therapy. Even within the Solaria Plaza where the hotel is located, floors six and below are all shops. We bought clothes from UR's Doors and Rosso here. For those who love shopping in Fukuoka like us, there's no need to go to the nearby Daimaru; their clothing styles are too outdated. 2. **Dining**: We didn't book breakfast at the hotel because there are so many delicious eateries nearby. The peach ice cream cake, chocolate cake, and juice from a cafe on the second floor were truly delicious 😋. Kagura & Musashi (Wagyu) and Itoshima Shokudo (Japanese cuisine) are within walking distance, and their food is so good it's worth experiencing multiple times. 3. **Transportation**: The subway is just a few steps downstairs. It's only three stops to Hakata, where you'll find Hankyu and Amu shopping malls. Taking a taxi to the airport is also very quick. 4. **Accommodation**: The room was very clean and elegant, with complete and functional amenities. The coffee machine brewed delicious small cups of coffee. Cleaning was done every two days, and items were provided promptly. It was very quiet at night for sleeping. Aside from the TV only showing Japanese programs that I couldn't understand, everything else was truly great. Hope to return soon!

The only good thing about this hotel is its convenient location for shopping; everything else about our stay was terrible. For over 2,000 yuan a night, the quality doesn't even come close to a domestic Atour Hotel. First off, the room's facilities are outdated, and the hygiene was far from ideal. The bathroom had a strong urine smell, and there wasn't even complimentary bottled water in the room—a real lack of attention to detail. During check-in, there was an issue with the key card, which sent us running back and forth unnecessarily. Later, when a family member wanted to rest in the room, we asked the front desk for an extra key card, but the hotel refused, stating they only issue one card per room per night. This made it very inconvenient for family members staying together. Throughout our entire stay, we barely felt like there were any accompanying services, and overall, the value for money was extremely poor. I do not recommend staying here.

The room was as clean and tidy as always. The hotel has an excellent location; the Airport Line subway station is right downstairs, just 3 stops to Hakata and 5 stops to the airport. Nearby, there's Mitsukoshi, Iwataya, Daimaru department stores, a collection of sports and outdoor brands, and Tenjin Underground Mall, all fantastic for shopping. You can easily drop off your purchases in your room right away. Dining options are also very convenient.
