The hotel is in a great location, right in front of the station. It was my wedding anniversary and the staff gave me a free room upgrade. The hotel staff is fantastic and I recommend staying here. Spacious room with good view

Room is a decent size (for Japan). It is in a very good location. But it is quite popular with certain nationalities of people that are quite loud. Sound proofing is not the best. Walls between rooms are literally made of wood. You can hear quite a lot of noise from the hallways too. Onsen looks good in photos. But not very authentic. Mainly for foreign tourists.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The nearby subway station offers direct access to Hakata Station and Kushida Shrine Mae Station. One evening, after a wonderful dinner at Daitouen, we enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the hotel, passing by Kushida Shrine, the Nakasu Yatai food stalls, and Canal City Hakata along the way.
There are several convenience stores and drugstores close to the hotel. Additionally, popular spots like Full Full Bakery and Fuk Coffee are just diagonally opposite the hotel.
We booked a Japanese-style room with a tatami area this time, which comfortably accommodated three of us without any issues.
Regarding housekeeping: a full cleaning service is provided on the 3rd, 6th, and 9th days of your stay. On other days, it's a light tidying-up, which includes replenishing water bottles and changing slippers. If you'd like a full cleaning on a non-scheduled day, simply inform the front desk before 10 AM.
All the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and provided excellent service. Although the official check-in time is 3 PM, we were able to check in at 2:30 PM as our room was already prepared, which was a kind gesture.
The hotel also features a communal hot spring bath (onsen), and complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby. We were very satisfied with our stay overall!

This is a decent hotel, though the rooms are on the smaller side. The standout features are the public hot spring bath on the 14th floor and an observation deck with complimentary beverages. Even though the view isn't spectacular, it's a great way to rehydrate and unwind on the observation deck after enjoying the hot spring.

It's conveniently located near Hakata Station, about a 5-8 minute walk, and very easy to find. As other reviews mentioned, there is some train noise. However, it's not constant, just occasional, and was perfectly acceptable and didn't disturb our sleep. We requested two adjoining rooms when booking. It took quite a while during check-in, but we eventually got two rooms opposite each other, which was much more convenient. However, we booked two residential-style rooms, but one clearly wasn't, as it didn't have a kitchen. If you need pots or cooking utensils, you can rent them from the front desk. The room size is standard; there's enough space to open one large suitcase flat, but two would be a tight squeeze. The lobby offers amenities like tea bags, toothbrushes, cotton pads, and hair ties, which is very convenient. I really appreciated the self-service coffee machine in the lobby – a must-have for coffee lovers. Having a microwave and washing machine in the room was truly excellent and convenient, and they even provided laundry detergent, so you don't need to bring your own. However, I wouldn't recommend using the dryer function, as different fabric types have different drying requirements. Most clothes dried fine simply by air-drying for a day after washing. Finally, if you need fresh towels, remember to hang the 'please make up room' sign on your door, and place used towels and trash outside the door; otherwise, housekeeping won't replace them.

With a limited supply of triple-bed rooms in town, this hotel became our go-to choice for a total of six nights, including two room transfers due to our booking arrangements. It turned out to be a wise decision.
To highlight some experiences: first, the room transfers went smoothly. We needed to switch rooms twice due to our itinerary. We simply left our luggage with the front desk at checkout, and when we returned, our belongings were already in our new room. Secondly, one day I accidentally dropped my room key at a nearby shop. While I was searching through my bag for it, a staff member at the front desk approached me and asked if I was looking for a key. After verifying my room information, she informed me that the shop had called the hotel to return the key. Otherwise, I would have had to pay 100 yen for the lost card, which would have felt quite careless.
One downside was the welcome drink—honestly, it wasn’t worth the time. Overall, though, the staff’s friendliness made a positive impression.

My experience from check-in to check-out was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located, about a 7-8 minute walk from the JR station. The walk there is pleasant, with coffee shops, bakeries, and a FamilyMart along the way. It truly is a peaceful oasis despite its central location. There's a small public space right outside the entrance, and two more coffee shops/bakeries just downstairs.
The mattress was very comfortable, but the pillows were a bit too flat, offering no bounce or support.
Getting here from Fukuoka Airport was quick, about a 10-minute taxi ride.
Complimentary facial cleanser and lotion samples were available for self-service at the front desk.
I had informed them in advance via email that it was my birthday on the check-in day, and the front desk staff were wonderful and upgraded my room. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation.
Overall, a fantastic hotel!

Super convenient! It's very close to Fukuoka Station, making it a perfect transit point for trips to Kumamoto. Transportation is great, and the service is excellent. I even noticed the staff diligently cleaning and sanitizing rooms after check-out; they were incredibly thorough. For shopping, its proximity to AUM is fantastic, ideal for young people.

The rooms here are considerably more spacious than what you'd typically find in Tokyo or Osaka. The bathroom features a convenient wet/dry separation, complete with both a bathtub and a shower. The hotel is located about 1 km from Hakata Station, and there's a complimentary shuttle service running daily until 11:30 AM, which gets you there in just 7 minutes. The Tenjin shopping district is also just over 1 km away. As for breakfast, while the selection didn't initially seem vast, it actually offered a good variety including chicken, fish, salmon sashimi, vegetable salad, milk, yogurt, cereal, and bread, which turned out to be quite satisfactory.

Quite disappointed. Having had a very satisfying experience at a Comfort Hotel in Himeji previously, I chose this American chain again. Unfortunately, this Fukuoka location was quite a letdown.
The room's cleanliness was subpar; the bedding felt scratchy, and the pillowcases were visibly worn. Worse, there were noticeable stains on the duvet, clearly visible even through the cover. This made me genuinely uncomfortable, especially as I had initially booked subsequent stays here. I promptly canceled those reservations and decided to find alternative accommodation.
The complimentary breakfast was truly underwhelming – sparse and completely uninspired. I ended up eating out the next morning. Fortunately, there's a breakfast street conveniently located on the basement level of the station.

AAsh.FGreat location and can be easily access to Hakata station within short distance. Room is clean & tidy and reception staff was friendly as well. Love its toilet & bathroom was separated and with extra space for luggage right next to the entrance. Definitely will come back to this hotel if travel to Fukuoka.

FfluffyriceTwenty four hour super kind and friendly staff. I was not aware that the hotel is so dated. The laundry machine is for use 24 hours on the basement One level, however, there is no AC. It is in the corridor and very hot And there is only one washing machine and one dryer. In summertime It is extremely hot there and also, quite scary to go alone outside restaurant hours. Shower head was faulty had to ask it to be fixed but staff attended promptly and was kind and apologetic.

LLohI recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be quite average overall. While there were some positives, there were also a few areas that could use improvement.
The room, although clean, was a bit on the small side. The tiled flooring was a noticeable feature, which may not be to everyone's taste, especially if you're expecting carpeted floors. Additionally, there was no washing machine available, which could be inconvenient for longer stays.
On the plus side, the staff were courteous and helpful, and the location was convenient for accessing local attractions. The basic amenities provided were adequate for a short stay, but for those looking for more spacious accommodations and additional facilities, it might be worth exploring other options.
Overall, this hotel provides a decent stay if you're not overly particular about room size and specific amenities. It's suitable for a short visit, but there is room for improvement.

GGuest UserIt was very good to stay with my family.
It was beautiful and spacious and the children were happy.
I was saved because the parking lot was close.
However, unfortunately, I was worried when I was sleeping that the sensor in the toilet on the 2nd floor was out of order or that water was flowing every 30 minutes ...
I didn't know the reporting location and I filled it here.

AAliceHas been staying at Grand Base hotel at other cities and normally we will get the pre check in email very early before for advance check in, but we did not get any until the day of check in, it's ok for us because we are aware of the check in procedure. But maybe for those 1st timer, this will create a little chaos upon arriving at the hotel because they are not aware of the pre email and passcode to enter to the building. I suggest to send the pre email earlier to the customers. Other than that, all things are good.

GGuest UserSelf-service check-in and check-out. I didn't see any service staff the whole time, which was a very novel experience.
The room is very large, it is a two-bedroom and two-living room apartment. The split-level design of the living room is a bit confusing. In fact, the size of a normal living room is enough for a large family to live in.
The hygiene is slightly worse than other hotels in Japan, but it is acceptable. Towels and toiletries are provided in sufficient quantities.
There is also a Japanese garden near the downstairs, which is marked on the map. You can go there when you have time.
The disadvantage is that you cannot store your luggage at the self-service check-in. You must leave with your luggage at 11 o'clock, otherwise the door will not open. The luggage storage at Hakata Station is often full, so it is recommended to arrange the itinerary reasonably if you want to play around the surrounding area after checking out.

GGuest UserI stayed at this place for 3 nights with my friends.
The cleanliness inside and the location are really great.
Unlike hotels, there are no additional services, but I didn't expect that when I booked, so I was really satisfied.
I was worried that it would be difficult to check in because it was unmanned, but the first floor lobby was well-equipped with pads, so it was convenient to use for both check-in and check-out.
And the river view from the balcony inside the room was really amazing.
If I go to Fukuoka again, I would highly recommend staying at this place.
