Wonderful hotel in the heart of Funchal. Easy access to anywhere in the city. Some road construction near by that limits taxi pick up access, but hotel room is very comfortable, pool is lovely with great view and wonderfully helpful and friendly staff!

This hotel is quite perfect.
Cheap price but it's including breakfast and swimming pool. Breakfast tastes so good so many drinks option.
I guess most of the roon have balcony? And reception staffs were all to sweet and nice.

Very clean hotel, perfect buffet, as soon as we arrived they served us a glass of wine, they were super friendly and if you smoke there is also a lovely terrace to sit and get some fresh air. Highly recommended, we loved it!!

The location is great. But just in advance to provide a room with an ocean view, however, they gave a view of the courtyard. Breakfast is normal. At check-in, they did not give a complimentary glass of wine, as they gave to all guests. Even though I arrived late, I expected a glass - this is a sign of attention to the guest. The pool has a gorgeous view of the Grand Marina. Also, there was not even a bottle of drinking water in the room, this is also a mess.

The service staff is professional, but the facilities are old, only the fan doesn't turn very well.... The sound insulation of the room is also average, and you can always hear the sound of stepping on the floor upstairs. The roof view is also average

The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and had good pressure, the window opened, and there was plenty of storage space in the room. The buffet breakfast was excellent, particularly the fresh tropical fruit salad.

A special mention to the exemplary service from all staff members. Very helpful and accommodating, helped me with finding out about bus options when I had failed to notice it was a public holiday. No issue holding my luggage on the day of check out while I waited for my bus.
The building makes the most of retro features and has all the amenities you'd expect. For a very central location it's tucked away on a side street which kept my room nice quiet at night.
I'd happily stay here again!

Excellent hotel. 1960s theme is very well done, but not overpowering. Hotel is comfortable and very clean, breakfast is excellent and plentiful. Most importantly the staff are unfailingly hard working, friendly and helpful. We would certainly use again.
