The gardens shared by the three properties was amazing. Was able to walk to downtown Funchal from the hotel and the Lido bathing complex was located behind the property.

It was an ok hotel for the price they charged, room service to clean the rooms was not very good. Won’t come here again.

Beautiful gardens with plenty of sitting out space plus quiet corners. Great sea views, fabulous pools and choice of restaurants. would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay while in Funchal. Comfortable rooms, great pools and other amenities. AC didn’t work properly the first night, but was repaired promptly the next morning. There was occasional loud music late at night, emanating from neighboring properties. Staff was kind and responsive. Good experience as a whole.

Very nice and well maintained.
We had some noise problems: the rooms were above the bar that has live performers every evening, keeping the kids awake (they were no vacant rooms to change), one day they decided to make a hole in the wall near the room with a sledge hammer for a few hours… I would expect at least some compensation for that, but nothing

We love it at The Porto Mare Hotel staff are very friendly, rooms & service excellent, breakfast good & lounge area in the evening is good with live entertainment. Our 4th stay at this hotel
