DONGBAI LANES HOTEL

My long-awaited trip to Fuzhou finally happened, and a local friend highly recommended this hotel as the top choice. It certainly lived up to expectations! **Environment:** It's only a 10-15 minute taxi ride from Fuzhou Station, making travel very convenient. The hotel is right next to Sanfang Qixiang, and both the restaurant and some rooms offer direct panoramic views of Sanfang Qixiang and the city (as shown in Figures 1 & 2). The trees in the hotel's parking lot are beautiful (as shown in Figure 4), especially in the evening when they create a wonderful ambiance. There's a staircase nearby that leads directly to Ta Lane, making it super easy to explore and dine in Sanfang Qixiang. **Facilities:** The hotel is well-equipped, perfect for someone like me who's on a 'half-vacation, half-work' trip. The desk, sofa, lamp, charging ports, ashtray, and matches are all provided. There's even a tea set, which is a thoughtful touch and adds a local Fuzhou flavor. **Hygiene:** The overall cleanliness is excellent. The room cleaning is meticulous; the nightstands and headboards were spotless with no dust, and you can open the windows for ventilation, so there wasn't any strange odor in the room. **Service:** The hotel's service is full of thoughtful details. They proactively inform guests about dining details, breakfast times and locations, and even offer luggage storage on the day of departure. This means you can enjoy more time exploring without your bags and pick them up before heading to the station, essentially gaining an extra half-day and avoiding the hassle of dragging luggage around the city. Definitely a big thumbs up!

The hotel's location is superb; I stayed for two nights right in Sanfang Qixiang. The cleanliness, ambiance, and facilities were also quite good, and the service was excellent. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it was decent. All in all, it was a very pleasant trip.

On another business trip to Fuzhou, I took the opportunity to continue exploring Sanfang Qixiang in depth. I have to say, the location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's right at the northeast corner of Sanfang Qixiang, and downstairs it faces the east entrance of Ta Alley (picture 6 was taken inside Ta Alley, which gives you a direct sense of how convenient this distance is). For two days, I'd wander around, then pop back to the hotel for a quick rest. There are also plenty of great places to eat nearby, like Zhu Fugui just to the east. The Dongbai Shopping Center is right below the hotel, so I even bought some clothes while on an after-dinner stroll. Plus, there's a subway entrance downstairs, making the trip to the train station on my way back even quicker than taking a taxi. The hotel service was also excellent; they upgraded me to a room overlooking the alley, offering a great aerial view, and the room was very spacious. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Fuzhou!

The hairdryer and bath mat were placed together. When I contacted the hotel, they actually said it was their standard practice. I've never seen anything like it! How can a hairdryer and a foot mat be stored together, especially in a five-star hotel? Their hygiene standards are ridiculously poor. I've never left a bad review before, but in the hotel industry, hygiene is fundamental. If they're this careless about something so basic, what else can you trust?

The hotel's location is superb, and the staff are very welcoming. There's a small path that leads directly to Sanfang Qixiang, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The hotel views are also beautiful; you can see the entire Sanfang Qixiang from your room.
