"[Devon Rest, the cutest hotel in Kandy] The Devon Rest that I stayed at in Kandy, Sri Lanka was absolutely amazing! It was cute, spacious, clean, stylish, and just so comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of Western and Sri Lankan dishes, and was carefully presented. The staff were also very kind, and I felt like a princess! I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to make their hotel a part of their travel memories."

"The hotel hasn't done any maintenance in the rooms in years. Our room smelled like mold, and humidity. The shower kept changing temperature, sign of a bad water heater, and had sewage smell coming from the drainage. On our first night, the light switch in the bathroom started smoking and doing sparks everywhere - if we hadn't been there to call the reception right away, it would have been a severe fire hazard. The location is quite good as it is right on the lake, and Is a nice walk in the morning. The cleaners woke us up at 6.30 AM because they were slamming doors and screaming. I think this hotel is a 3star and not 4"

"We loved our stay at the cinnamon citadel. The hotel and the amazing pool were perfect for relax time after sightseeing the area. The view was amazing and calm. The service was impeccable, we enjoyed dinner and music every evening and finally stayed longer than planned."

"If you are alone, it is still a bit scary to drive a tuk-tuk at night because the mountain road behind is a dirt road with no street lights. The air in the mountains is very good and quiet. There is no air conditioning in the room, but there is a fan, but you can't open the door or windows because there are mountains outside, mosquitoes will come in, and you can also see squirrels. Only if you don't open the window without a fan, there will be no ventilation and it will be a bit stuffy. The scenery is pretty good. I stayed for three days and was only given a bottle of mineral water. I had to buy more if I wanted. After three days, I was only given one piece of soap. After asking for it for a long time, the store insisted that one piece of soap was enough. Later, when they found out that I was doing laundry, they gave me an extra piece of soap. I can't wash my hair because the hot water is too small. Oh, what a sin. If you are alone, it is recommended not to go out at night, because you have to walk on mountain roads, and there are occasionally dogs on the mountain roads. Better find a companion."

"Very nice property, unfortunately in an out-of-the-way and inconvenient location. There are hotels downtown for the same price. We didn't try the food because there's a very good vegan bar nearby."

"We had such a great time staying at The Summit. The staff are friendly and helpful, they made us feel at home. We had dinner on the rooftop and it was such a lovely experience. The surrounding is peaceful and quiet. The room is clean and spacious. The view is just gorgeous."

"The old five-star hotel is located on the Mahaweli River, the mother river of Sri Lanka. It is a must-have hotel for Kandy people to get married. The British service standard is very good. Compared with other Sri Lankan hotels, the check-in and check-out are very fast. The software service makes up for the old facilities deficiencies, it is recommended"

"Very nice hotel, not far from Kandy's city center. We actually walked into town one day along the 2 lane winding road. The pool is very nice, there is a weight room to work out and a spa if you want a massage. Its very peaceful, has a nice view of nature and a nice little bar with some quality cocktails. If you are going to Kandy and you don't mind being a bit outside the city, this is a real good spot. I would post more pictures, but the site limits the size and its a lot of effort to shrink a photo just post it here."

"酒店非常新淨，冷氣很足，熱水也很快，風景非常優美，看着可以發呆一整天。餐廳食物不錯，咖喱雞是我在斯里蘭卡吃過最好味的，不過建議詢問當天有什麼食物提供，提供用餐時間，好讓他們準備，因為只有一兩位服務員，其中一位非常友善，可是英文不太好，但是都很熱心幫忙，另外一位會whatspp提供幫助，英文非常好，是可以信賴的人。 唯一要注意是沒有電梯，而且沒有風筒，個人用品也建議自己帶備。中間亦試過突然停電一小段時間，但是很快會回復，不會影響正常生活，且酒店大門沒有上鎖。另外我住了兩晚，可是服務員沒有收拾房間，而且第一天在洗手間看到一隻很大隻的蜘蛛，不過這是住在郊外的代價，想要看到優美的風景，便有機會會遇上野生昆蟲。 由市中心上酒店的路途風景優美，酒店步行15分鐘左右有小段瀑布，非常優美，有興趣可以叫篤篤司機停低拍照欣賞。另外留意因為居住比較偏遠，所以附近不會有餐廳，建議在市中心補給才回酒店。 整體還是非常推薦，但是要有心理準備不會準時區般這麼方便，但是值得的。"
