Hotel price is good! It is relatively close to Davidson College, 5-10 minutes by car. You need to talk to the front desk about cleaning the room. There is a grocery store next to the hotel, and there is also a Vietnamese rice noodle shop nearby.

Clean, very good size room!! I loved the vaulted ceiling, sky light!! Great unique decor!! Nice balcony over the creek!! Staff was friendly, and helpful!! I really enjoyed my stay!! Will definitely be back!!

Doors did not seal, drafty, need new locks. Furniture is dated. There was a phone in the room but no cord connecting it to a wall jack. Coffee pot leaked.
Bed was comfortable, mini refrigerator and microwave were helpful. Great view of creek/river water running behind building. Room had balcony you could sit outside and view.

The first morning the water would not get hot, only warm. I could not shower until the afternoon when the water was hot. Sticky nightstand and trash on the floor and under the bed when we arrived. The elevator had a strong chemical smell. Nice area and good parking. Rustic hotel was cool but not well maintained.

The maid did not clean the toilet every day. Parking can be challenging, most of the time we had to park far from oir room.

Do not recommend! I booked the honeymoon suite for the New Year for me and my husband. After checking in the room decor is nice but hotel is old and smelled old. Bed was awful and had no support at all. We left to go downtown. Returned at 9 pm to eat some dinner and get ready for the fireworks. Walked in and the room
above us must have taken a shower and our bathroom was pouring water from the ceiling inside the light over bathtub. Major hazard issue! Called front desk and they had to have us move to another room. Only difference front desk Grayson said was “I am gonna upgrade you to a jacuzzi since you are leaving tomorrow “. By the time we changed rooms, ate dinner it was time to watch the fireworks. After 2 hours room never got warm. Old timey baseboard heaters. We were freezing. Called front desk to see if they had maybe an electric heater at 11:30pm. They did not and offered to move us to another room. I slept in 2 layers of clothes and had my own personal blanket! Never offered to refund any of my money. Also advertised wood burning fireplace but no wood in either room nor lighter or anything. I will never stay here again. The rooms are also massively overpriced!
