We got a clean, sufficiently spacious room. Good breakfast. Hospitable owner, who speaks good English, Swedish and Dutch and tells a lot and can also tell a lot about Sweden as a country, and about it's culture, nature and history. Plenty of parking space. I can recommend this address to anyone who wants to go on holiday in the area or is travelling to or from northern Sweden.

Excellent place! Located in the calm, hidden valley, surrounded with trees, rooms are clean, sevice is just great - feels like visiting “an old friend”. Take a chance and book the warm tub outside (at additional cost) - it’s definitely worth it! Definitely recommend it!

A warm welcome from Stef to a beautifully restored traditional building in a very beautiful area north of Gävle. We did two great walks nearby, after a thrilling trip through the Forrest to get there (thanks to google). Great meal on our first night and at Stef’s advice a top meal in Bergman’s Fisk restaurant near by. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast and great hospitality. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Super experience with Stef at Hedenstugan B&B! We stayed 2 nights and it was a great start of our Sweden trip. Good knowledge of the area and good dinners too can be accommodated. Nice walks in the forest just next to the B&B and great walks closeby with a short drive.

Great place in a nice location. I liked that there was quiet and nearby the forest. The house looks small from outside, but it's big inside. Rooms were clean and fresh looking. And of course the host is nice, polite and good communicator.

This inn is the picture of peace and quiet. It is immaculate and loaded with charm and historic character, but with all the modern trappings you'd expect, including car chargers and excellent showers. Our room was bright and airy. We were in Sweden from Canada partly for work, with a scrambled schedule and early morning drives into Gavle. Stef and his family were helpful and accommodating. We did manage time for a lovely evening stroll into the village during our four-day stay, but had to skip the many kms of trails and bike paths surrounding the B&B. Too bad. They looked highly inviting. The coast is nearby, including a fishing port with an acclaimed restaurant. This really is a postcard place — and incredibly quiet.

Beautiful traditional Swedish Country house hotel in very peaceful countryside surroundings with a perfect host. He cooked a meal for us on our first night. Very modern and tasteful inside. Within 10 to 20 minutes drive to local shops, pizza and two nice restaurants.

Beautiful building in a peaceful location surrounded by forest but close to seaside and great lake for swimming. Very friendly host with lots of ideas of lovely places to eat and visit. Spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean room. A real gem of a place that I would highly recommend.
