Hotels in Malioboro, Gedong Tengen

so I just stayed at this hotel near Tugu Station in Jogjakarta and it was honestly really great. I mean, it's within walking distance to the station, which is super convenient. The rooms are clean and practical - not fancy, but they get the job done. The staff seems friendly and helpful too. Considering the price, it's actually really good value for money. I'm pretty tired now, but I think I'd stay here again if I came back to Jogjakarta. Yeah, 5 stars from me. I also got to visit Prambanan and Borobudur while I was here, and wow... they're incredible. The temples are so breathtakingly beautiful, especially at sunrise. If you're planning to visit, definitely get there early to beat the crowds. The history and architecture are just amazing. Anyway, back to the hotel... it's a great base for exploring the city and surrounding temples. Would definitely recommend

The place is nice. I book with trip.com for 2 nights because of the high rating. The staff is friendly and accommodating so easy to request things such as ironing stuff. Location to malioboro street also just 5 minutes away, so easy to take a walk and spend your money to the variety of stores@toko there. Checkin process was smooth and convenient. The toilet also got pipe for easy washing after use off the loo. Unfortunately the room that i book is small and hardly a space to move freely. I’m on vacation and buy quite a lot of souvenirs, so it’s hard to do the packing conveniently. Booking the room without a window, actually means no view although there is a widow , but it doesn’t bother that much. So if you just wanna chill and explore malioboro area, this place will be “the place”. The photo i share is not related to the room because forgot to snap picture. “Too busy arranging my staff” i guessed 😆. Most of the picture was during breakfast time. Lots of variety and i enjoy it.

I didn't expect the price I got, it turned out to be good. the service is fast, the place is quite clean, the facilities are quite complete for the needs of traveling with friends, especially the strategic location. recommendation!

The hotel has an excellent location, with clean rooms and a good breakfast. However, the nearby mosque meant we were woken up very early in the morning by the call to prayer.

This is my 1st time stay at El hotel recommend by my best friend,since she also stay there with family. The hotel is atill new ,location and design are nice and strategist,the most i like is serounding by food ,shop and walking distance to famoust Malioboro street. My memerorable moment are at the lounge cafe ,when i do surprised bday celebration for my father,the staff's are very fantastic and helpful with my last minute request they can deliver good and happy moment. The breakfast spread also good specially when you dining on weekend the restaurant have javanese music (Gamelan) so make the atmosfer more local jogyakarta. I will stay again on my future to visit Jogyakarta. Welldone El Hotel please keep the good work and work out something with ur AC on the room ya specially towards balcony,the room must all cold 😉😊. Overall is good. Location is strategic. cleanliness - the room is clean and neat. the service is good. staff is helpful and good manners. the hotel provided me with handphone charger. the facilities is good. furniture is modern and comfortable. i also take breakfast package. the bread is marvelous. i never eat bread as delicious as at the hotel. so soft and delicious. the rice not so good however. i think need to change to more expensive rice. water is good. the landscape at the dining are is good and i loves it. what i do not like, the price is too expensive. should be a bit lower. but maybe because it is on weekend and peak season.

We stayed for 6 nights and check in was smooth - attended by Ms Febi who is soft spoken and very detailed in her explaination of the facilities etc. We start off with a bad night as the aircon compressor chose to breakdown. However, we only asked for assistance on the next morning which the front desk activated the technician who came by very promptly. The aircon settled but it again break down in the evening. We informed front desk and happened to be Ms Febi attended to the call and this time, we are move to the new room. Ms Febi came personally to the room to help move our baggages to the new room. It meant alot and shown a high level of customer service. We hope the management can show recognition to her. Another staff who assisted us with check out, Ms Danisha, very professional and prompt in ensuring a smooth check out process. The security officers, restaurant staff and house keeping are also friendly, always ready to help. Thumbs up to the hotel! Recommended as it is in the middle of Malioboro.

The hotel location is nearby with the food street as well Malioboro, some traditional market and pasar Bringharjo. The staff is friendly and very helpful.. the room rate is compatible. The room is huge had big space for sholat, clean, had safe box, smell good, ac working good but a bit noisy from outside in the morning. If you bring car the parking lot have big space not to worried.. I purchased the voucher with breakfast, a bit confused as well I went for breakfast around 7.12am but mostly the food finished and I need to wait until they refills again. My questions the hotel delay for refilled it or the gueat eat like never tomorrow.. 😆 Will choose this hotel again in my future if visit Yogyakarta again.. but with out breakfast maybe 😋 Recommend

1. There was no cupboard or hangers for clothes. 2. Soap dispensers in the toilet & the washeroom weren't working properly. 3. There is no handle on the toilet door ( just a small round steel piece) , hard to pull n open. 4. No room clean unless u call n request the reception. Suggestions: 1. Need to include basic amenities as all other hotels do have, like : Cupboards, Iron Box, atleast 4 hangers, etc. 2. Hotel should have the card ( Please make or clean my room / Do Not Disturb ).
