Jufa Hotel Grünau im Almtal

We spent a fantastic ski holiday as a family of five at the JUFA and are currently considering returning for a weekend this summer. The JUFA's unique selling point is definitely its family-friendliness: We had a 5-bed apartment, which was a good size and featured two separate bedrooms, an anteroom, and a bathroom. The master bedroom was a double room, while the children's bedroom had a double bed and a bunk bed above it (so no one had to sleep on a sofa!). The room was comfortably furnished in a modern style, spacious, and perfect for a family. As is probably to be expected with family accommodations, there are some signs of wear and tear (especially on the parquet flooring; guests here seem to often forget to close the skylights), but that didn't bother us too much, and we felt very comfortable. The friendliness of all the staff also contributes to our sense of well-being. We felt truly at home from the very first moment – ​​that's what hospitality is all about. The hotel has everything you'd expect in this price range: an indoor children's play area with a small climbing wall, a heated ski room (with ski boot heaters!), a bar, a restaurant, a small wellness area (I didn't use it), great outdoor areas for the summer (with a campfire area), and parking. It's also beautifully situated on the alpine pasture and is just a few minutes from the Kasberg mountain by ski bus or car (which is what we did). What didn't quite convince me was the food on offer. The breakfast was plentiful and offered a good selection, but it could have been more thoughtfully prepared. Unfortunately, dinner was quite cafeteria-like, and the atmosphere wasn't particularly cozy. The cleanliness of the room upon arrival wasn't entirely convincing either. Although I'm very picky about that, I didn't feel uncomfortable and it wasn't dirty at all, but two or three small spots could have been cleaned more thoroughly. However, this doesn't detract from our satisfaction, and especially considering the really fair price, we were still completely satisfied. I would also like to emphasize how family-friendly the stay was. As I said, we look forward to seeing you again in the summer.
