Oakhurst Farm Cottages

Our family's time at Oakhurst Farm has been one of the best holidays we had in a long time. Their team is incredibly hospitable and really take care of their guests. Our boys felt right at home with all the activities they offer for the whole family. The owner even offered to pick us up in Wilderness after we were struck by floods and left our car written off. Oakhurst will definitely see us again!

We found the cottage clean and well equiped. The fridge was a bit problematic, but the staff sorted it very promptly. The hot tub was great, but took a lot longer than 2 hours to heat. The gardens and facilities are fantastic.

Oakhurst was an absolute gem of a place. There was nothing that was not thought of. Wilna and Paige were so the frendliest people, like ever............. in the whole world. We will definately be back again. Just a pity they are fully booked for Christmas, because we would have loved to visit again.

We had an amazing stay at Oakhurst. We booked Awie's Attic which has a grass section in the front for the kids to play safely. We didn't need to leave the farm as there was so much to do and it was so relaxing. get the hot tub fired up in time so that you can enjoy it throughout the evening. The view of the trees and the birdsong immediately makes you feel so peaceful. Loved it.

We had a wonderful time at Oakhurst during July. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather and were able to do the Forest Hike to the waterfall situated on the property, it was absolutely beautiful! We initially planned to do most of the activities offered at Oakhurst but ended up doing the hike twice & relaxed at the cottage with the sounds of cows in the background.

Our 2 and 4 yr old daughters had the time of their life on the farm. We stayed at the schoolyard cottages which was perfect for us. They could enjoy vast open spaces running and cycling everywhere. They loved the pony rides and the dairy tour. We also took them on the lovely hiking trail. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed the mtb trail. Don't hesitate to book this place if you have small kids. Really worth it. Farm fresh milk every day was the 'cherry op die koek'

Our stay at Oakhurst was truly perfect. The farm is welcoming and tranquil, the perfect getaway from city/town life. The big swing, dairy cows , archery lessons, horses and oh so creamy farm fresh milk were on our kids list of favorites. My personal best was lying in a steaming hot tub on the deck under the Milky Way watching shooting stars while cows moo’d the forest animals to sleep. The cottages are well kept, comfortable and private. They have all you need including free wifi and a generator that makes you forget about load shedding. The ready made breakfast basket and diy burger baskets were a huge hit and the farm shop had ample choice to keep our fridge well stocked. We stayed for 5 days and could easily have stayed longer, we are already planning our next trip back. A magical place indeed!

This is the second time we've been to Oakhurst. Spent more time there this time round. Just as great as the first time round. Food is lovely and the people even better. Always willing to help and the children can play in a safe, exciting and fun place. Some things can be a bit pricey but the environment makes up for it in more ways than one.

Nice and quite place to stay and relax. Host very friendly; just to many spiders inside cottage!. Frustrated on the service side: Still waiting for refund a week later, host system never pickup booking was paid in full and I had to pay half of my stay again on day of departure. Still waiting for refund!
