Great location but not for light sleepers since this shophouse is next to main road. Pack light as well since there is a tall flight of stairs to access to the apartment. Prompt replies via WA by the front desk.

The room was a one-bedroom apartment, quite spacious, and came with a fridge, washing machine, and induction cooker (though I didn't use them). The cleanliness was decent. It was also within walking distance to all the popular sights. BUT! The soundproofing in the room was absolutely unbearable. The noise from cars passing by on the road, especially the roar of motorcycles, made it feel like my bed was right on the roadside, with vehicles whizzing past me!

An interesting concept hotel. Location is very central. The only nitpick is the noise proofing is very bad. Every traffic sound could be heard. We read similar reviews and thought it should be fine once it gets in the middle of the night but it doesnt. Personally we had a hard time sleeping, which is a shame because other things were fine.

Greeted with such impeccable warm genuine service by a Malay Gentleman. He was knowledgeable and sincerely wanted to make our stay a comfortable one. Awesome location. Great popular Nasi Kandar Deen Mutiara right outside hotel. Many shops around. All within walking distance. We dont mind the little noise outside room cos its a shophouse in front of a small lane road. So it is an acceptable level. Clean hotel. Appreciate the washing machine. Spacious layout. Awesome kitchenette comes in handy when we decided to eat in. Overall highly recommended.

All the rooms are on the second floor, with shops on the first. The bedroom faces the street, and the constant roar of motorbikes at night really disturbed my sleep – I ended up having to sleep in the living room. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider this place. Everything else was fine though.

Spacious serviced apartment stay ideal for a longer stay, it can be noisy at night as you right over the main road.

The room was not clean and had a bad smell. I was genuinely concerned about my health and well-being during my stay.

Great location and spacious rooms! It comes with a microwave, induction cooktop, and cutlery, so you can easily prepare simple meals. The duty manager, Shafiq, provided attentive and prompt service. This was my first time in Penang, and I stayed six nights at this hotel – I was very satisfied.

You get what you pay for - this is a budget hotel in a great location with separate quarters for my dad and I (important). It’s on a very noisy street with cheap sound proofing to the point you can feel the floor vibrating when trucks ride pass. Do not book if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise just functional space and very cheap. We were at The George around the corner and decided to try what looks like good value, but don’t think we got value just savings lol

Strategic location in town but if you are a light sleeper it might caused you having trouble to have a good night sleep as the location is right beside a busy road.

The only thing that annoying is so noisy at night , the other is very good.

The stay at Hutton is awesome, one additional advantage is there is alot of good food around the hotel, perfect place to explore around the hotel!

Hutton Central and Hutton Suites Hotel are within walking distance in the centre of Georgetown. The staff put us in Hutton Suites Hotel due to some defect of the room at Hutton Central hotel. Location is very good, very close to eateries and many shops. Hutton Suites is a repurposed building from a pre-war 2-storey shop house whereby the room occupy the entire floor of the upper floor. The space is huge with decent 3-star fittings. It's ideal for family or friends who enjoy walking in the city. The bathroom, kitchen are well equipped and the living room comes with a decent sofa. The bed is comfortable too. However there are 3 minor problems on our room: 1. The shower head holder bar was loose. 2. The sound proof can be further improved as the traffic noise along Penang road on Saturday night lasted until 2-3am. 3. The Aircon in the master bedroom is noisy. Imho, these can be easily fixed to elevate the experience of the stay and make the place a lot more cosy.
