Great hospitality, great ambience, lip-smacking food. Overall a great stay. The USP of this resort would be definitely the river-side seating and the view! Counting for the next stay!

First will start with rooms - rooms were not clean specially cupboards. There was no dental kit has been given. It’s like it was giving a “purani haveli” types feel. Service -2nd day wi- fi service was stopped . Have asked so many times then they were saying that they are checking and it didn’t work till we left from there. food quality was ok but the staff was pathetic and seriously not understanding the basic Hindi language. At the time of eating they were not serving the water also. We have to call them every time to give us water. Really pathetic service have seen uptill now. Location-It’s really in out-skirt where u will not get range in ur network and specially if u have Vodafone network then tho ur gone. U won’t be able to talk to anyone. If any emergency occurs then u have to find someone else phone and call. Seriously, don’t go by the pics of the resort. It’s look like “baba aadam ke jamane ka”and service is also like that.if I could have been aware then definitely have not selected this property for sure. Definitely , it’s not a 4 stars property. I want to share my bad experience also here where my kid was not well and have asked to make them plain cheese sandwich without veggies for him so for that they told me it will take 20 mins because they are going to grill. So have told them make it toast then it won’t take time. Still they took 20mins and charges for that was 270 rs. Because in the menu card for the grilled veg sandwich price was written 229 rs. It’s not about the money but as a courtesy what ur giving charge according that. In the evening he ate and in the night @11pm on the intercom they are asking “paise abhi de rahe ho ya kal doge ?? “ main woh 270 rs lekar bhagne nahi wali thi. when i asked about wi-fi is still not working then they are saying maybe madam aapke phone mein problem hoga. On the top of that one staff has come to check my phone. Overall really had a bad experience. Pls pls I would suggest select some other property but not this one. If u r selecting then all the best to u all..

Good Riverside resort in the Gir forest, but in terms of 4 star resort category there is scope of improvement like welcome kit. food is good (not as per 4 star) but costly. The overall experience is good, The best part is the river view rooms mesmerized me the most.

I am writing this review immediately after landing from my flight from Ahmedabad, as I felt compelled to share my distressing experience at Kavish, GIR. We stayed for two nights in Villa #501, which featured a private pool. The property is set amidst a vast mangrove with plenty of open green spaces and a small river running alongside it. The main swimming pool is well maintained, as is the private pool that comes with the villa. The room itself was spacious, comfortably accommodating three people, and equipped with all basic amenities. This is where the positive aspects end, giving way to a series of frustrating experiences caused by the sheer incompetence of Mr. Shekhawat and the untrained staff. Patience is an absolute necessity when dealing with them, starting with the most basic issue—food availability and preparation. Despite having an extensive menu with numerous options, only about 25% of the items are actually available at any given time. Ordering non-vegetarian dishes is particularly nightmarish. The waitstaff struggle to understand even the simplest requests, forcing me to speak directly with the chef. Even after providing detailed instructions, our food arrived incomplete and a staggering 2.5 hours late. I outright refused to accept this and had the incomplete item removed from the bill. The same ordeal repeated on the second night. To avoid further confusion, we opted for purely vegetarian dishes, yet we still ended up waiting an hour for our food. When we ordered coffee, we were handed three sachets of Nescafé, a cup, and cold water. Upon questioning the server, we then had to wait another 20 minutes just for hot water. The restaurant staff seemed clueless about menu availability, forcing us to check item by item. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, there were always 5–6 staff members hovering around our table—yet they were of absolutely no help. Our room was not cleaned on the second day, and when we inquired, Mr. Shekhawat explained that it was because we hadn’t left the keys at the reception. Given that the room had an intercom, a simple courtesy call from the reception would have sufficed instead of expecting guests to drop off their keys. It seems they operate with a lodge-style mindset, and unfortunately, I found myself in the wrong place. On the day of checkout, the incomplete order (Rs. 239) was still included in the bill, and Mr. Shekhawat refused to remove it. His justification was that the order only missed a couple of items, which, had we informed them, could have been arranged. He also repeatedly insisted that the issues we faced during our stay were minor and that he had never encountered any problems in the past 20 years. I strongly believe that Mr. Shekhawat urgently needs a crash course in modern hospitality standards and customer service management. Additionally, the staff requires proper training on operational procedures and a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities. I urge the ***

Bad experience in all aspects. 1 ) very very bad cottages, no flooring finish, worse ever seen 2 ) in 4 cottages we had, have bad door alignment, letch can be open-able from outside no numbers on keys 3 ) very laughable bathroom doors, at-least 2 inch gap, no difference you latch it or not, no frame to door 4 ) no inter com in practice, even its given, no information given about inter com, 5 ) worst service, no room service even we go back and for to reception 6 ) no room cleaning, no water bottle or change of towel 7 ) no puja as said no air heater as said no sangam boat and visit provided most staff are saying lie, and this make all other guests also misguided as example we been said, there is stamped and no one is allowed for this time, and also said all our vehicles are in jam sometimes says vip are visiting one out checking guest advise us not to rely on this people, they will say this this. Exactly the ataff was doing so, the out going guest was leaving without any snan as they trusted on staff so we arranged ourselves and all done smoothly then one of closed reliable government person told no any stamped happened ! while on leaving for airport their travel desk offered us 8000 per taxi for 4 person to airport ! we booked return taxi from airport on phone only and that is for 6 pax artiga for 1800 only, not one but we did 3 i am surprised as many non branded ( non genuine brand who only run behind profits can do this all kind of bogus tactics, evolife might be such one but how come regenta now started such things. They regenta really cares not for their guest but about their brand daunting, they should depute noddle executive to communicate each guests and scrutinize all above points. Other then food all and each are zero, and bad thing is guest trust their false reason and making their plan accordingly for not to visit.

We had the pleasure of staying at Kavish Gir Lion Resort on the 16th and 17th of December, and it was an unforgettable experience. This hidden gem, situated ***** the peaceful riverbanks, is a slice of paradise that’s hard to find through a regular Google search. We stayed in a spacious Pool View Villa, which was equipped with all modern amenities. The villa offered incredible comfort and luxury, perfectly blending with the natural surroundings. The resort features a big, clean pool with a stunning view of the river—truly the highlight of our stay. Adding to the charm, the resort is dotted with lush mango trees, creating a tranquil and refreshing ambiance. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the chaos of daily life and immerse yourself in nature. The hospitality here is unmatched. Kailashji, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and ensured our every need was met. The support staff was equally attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re planning a visit to Sasangir, I highly recommend Kavish Gir Lion Resort for its peaceful atmosphere, excellent facilities, and exceptional service. It’s a true hidden treasure!
