We went to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The owner could not have been more hospitable. He really treated us royally. The room, complete with Jacuzzi, was very attractive and comfortable. We enjoyed two breakfasts. We look forward to returning.

Do not go! The accommodations are awful. Only 2 people are working there. The owner (Nick) and one person to clean. There is no way two people can properly clean, cook food and run a bar in a 12 bedroom bed and breakfast. Lightbulbs are missing from fixtures 9probably to keep it dark). We had to ask for toilet paper for our rooms. Nick is the rudest person and should never be in the service business. We were unable to sit at the bar because it was filled with dirty dishes, food and drink garnishes left out for god knows how long. There were documents all over the bar, saw dust, tools. We had 4 rooms and Nick was handling a flood in one of the rooms so we cleaned off the bar for him only for him to scream at use for doing it. Later on other guests sitting at the bar that they would not have been able to go near if we didn’t help out. Ungrateful. The room that he was fixing had a flood due to the shower breaking. The rugs were soaking and he had a new mattress and bedding to put on the bed. He did not call anyone to say there was an issue even though he must have known about it in time to call. You don’t get a new mattress in a day. Nick ended up shampooing the rug with Lysol and literally screwing the bathroom door shut and told the couple to use the bathroom in the lobby. We had planned on staying for New Years weekend but the couple in that room could not stay there for sanitary reasons. We checked out with the couple in our group and that had to stay in the flooded room and had to book elsewhere. Even though we checked out, Nick still charged the ENTIRE group for the second night. Nick is over his head and in it for the money. The place is filthy and he keeps it very dark so that you cannot see it. Please don’t waste your money.

CANCEL NOW! DO NOT GO ! This innis run by the most unprofessional person I have ever know. Our group rented 4 rooms out of the 12. When we arrived we went into the lobby which was very dark. The proprietor was doing construction on one of the rooms due to a water issue. This was one of the rooms in our group. Nick never called the couple to say there was an issue. He ended up screwing the bathroom door shut on the couple and told them to use the bathroom in the public area. He locked the front door so no one else could come in and seemed upset we were there early. He told us check in was at 4:00 when the confirmation said 3:00. When we returned from dinner we sat in the common area. None of the lights worked in the area or the TV. We found out that the power was shut off in the area. The bar was riddled with dirty glasses and juice food left out to spoil, papers and tools. We were unable to sit at the bar or order anything as it was unstaffed and filthy. The only staff at the entire inn was one room cleaner and the proprietor. Needless to say the place was not clean. No toilet paper in the rooms or the common bathroom. We checked out a day early due to the conditions and went to another place for New Years. We tried to speak to Nick before we left but he was too busy arguing with another unsatisfied guest. We left and I sent him an email that we had left. When I arrived home I found the charge for the night we did not stay. I called Nick and he said too bad, you did not cancel in time. Are you kidding me?!!!!!

Even though Nick works hard with very little help, I feel he has totally overextended himself in running this inn. We stayed in the Villages of Conway room. We arrived at 3:45pm which, according to our reservation confirmation, was within the appropriate times (3-11pm) to check in. When we got to the door and found that it was locked and the lights off, I saw a note that said check in time strictly starts at 4pm. It should then be changed on the confirmation that guests receive. Luckily Nick was just arriving when my husband called. Our room wasn’t ready until 4:30. The ear plugs by the side of the bed should have been a clue as to how noisy this room is. It faces Rt. 302. Need I say anymore? The walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbors as they arrived back from a night out. Luckily, they quickly settled in. The bed was very worn and sunken. According to the amenities for this room, there were supposed to be bathrobes - there were none, 2 TVs – there was only 1 (who needs 2 anyway), garden views – maybe out the side window (of course no mention of the Rt. 302 view), bottled water (none was provided), DVD player (M.I.A.), and the linen was certainly not luxury. Regarding the breakfast, my broccoli and cheese omelet was not cooked in the middle. Nick defended it as water from the broccoli. As a past breakfast waitress, I will tell you it was raw egg I saw! Nick did offer to cook it again but at that point I just wanted to leave. Just like the first day we arrived, Nick seemed very stressed out and over extended. I didn’t want to add to it. We suspected that he was cooking AND serving the breakfasts to the guests. This was confirmed when my husband came down to look for Nick to get some fresh towels. He found Nick cooking in the kitchen along with a pile of dirty dishes that looked like they were left over from the previous night’s dinner!! We really could not get out of there fast enough. Wait! We still had to shower. The shower that I was looking forward to had very little pressure (not good for someone who has very long thick hair) and just would not get hot even though the water to the hot tub and sink was hot (probably just a mixing valve problem). We both ended up taking a morning hot tub instead! That was the best feature of the room. Maybe Nick should turn the big old place into a spa if he could ever hire enough help. It is a beautiful old house in need of lots of repairs. We hope Nick can somehow work his way through the mess he got himself into.

I rarely write reviews but I am a disabled woman, traveling alone, and when I got there I was greeted with a rude and angry man who gave my room away with no apology, and it just got worse from there. And there is not enough room to write a real review.

Stayed here multiple times and it’s always a delight at this beautiful inn! Nick, the owner, is incredibly hospitable and makes a delicious breakfast. Very clean rooms decorated with a vintage flair. We always book a room with a jacuzzi and it never disappoints. Highly recommend this place as I think it’s the best bed & breakfast in the area.

This Inn is beautiful. Nick, the proprietor, is a very busy man. He works alone most of the time, with a helper part time. The Inn is well taken care of for the most part. When we were there, the breakfast area was being worked on, so all the seats were not available. It didn't seem to matter, though, because I don't think it was full. Nick served drinks in the evening at the full bar and even served us on the front porch. The porches were very comfortable with blankets provided if needed. We sat on the porch for a long time, laughing and talking and nobody cared. There was a bonfire pit that Nick set up for us and encouraged us to have fun. This is a very nice area as well and easy to find places to eat lunch or dinner. Nick took orders, cooked and served breakfast. This did cause a delay somewhat but nobody in our party had to be anywhere, so it was fine. This is on a main highway, so it can be a bit loud. If this will bother you, ask for a room in the back. If you want a very friendly atmosphere and a clean place to stay, this is it.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Nick the owner was very personable and we had a good time hanging out at the bar with the other guests. We found our room to be very clean and comfortable. We can't wait to visit the Inn again!

Nick checked us in. Grounds were s mess but I figured that was the charm. Lobby or front desk area really was dark - whole downstairs very dark and a mess Room was ok but in retrospect I’m wondering if it was clean No complimentary water as stated web site No dinner and drinks at pub - no one there no Nick no staff no other people Breakfast at 8 am coffee at 7 Am in very dark corner Luke warm coffee cream on sour end And when I got my coffee cup out of dark I saw someone’s lipstick all over it -so gross Needless to say we left snd had breakfast in Conway We will never go back Don’t know what was going on but this place is bad.
