Roundabout Inn Gloucester

Stayed here overnight before surgery at the local hospital. The room was old and minimal effort had been made to enhance it. The bathroom was small (but the shower cubicle was large). The toilet sat crooked in the bathroom just so the door could open. The sink was half hanging off the wall and the under mirror shelf above that had half fallen off. Nothing had been fixed. There was no hanging cupboard space and the touch lamps kept shorting out when being used. On the bright side, the staff were very helpful, both during booking and after we arrived. Might be okay for a one night stay, but if it's comfort you're looking for I would suggest paying a little bit extra and staying somewhere else.

We were staying just outside Gloucester for three nights to go walking in Barrington Tops. Normally we try different places each night for dinner when we are away but we went back to The Roundabout all three nights because we enjoyed it so much. Good pub food and very friendly service. The whole bistro just has a good feel. We were there for Wednesday schnitty night. Big crowd, good choice of schitzels and the same good, friendly service

Great. Nice shade trees in the courtyard areas, plenty of space to sit in, good pub food, clean and modern spaces, great staff. Had the calamari and also the whiting dishes, fresh as fresh salad. Recommend

Enjoyed dinner at The Roundabout Inn two nights in June, absolutely the best pizza and steak we have had for a long time, staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was warm. Plenty of beers on tap, Quick service on a busy night. Thankyou

Stopped for dinner on a drive through. Went for a steak from the spartan menu and I'm afraid there was nothing good about it or the service. What I ordered and what I got bore no relationship. The steak was incinerated and it was covered with a mystery insipid sauce that was not noted on the menu. I queried them on it and got a "what do you want us to do - just scrape it off." My expectations were very modest when I arrived but the place failed to meet even the most basic standards. There's not a lot of choice in Gloucester but almost anything else you pick would be better than this.

On a Tuesday night this was a fairly busy place in town. It is what it is - a bistro in a hotel. There were very limited choices if you are a non-meat eater. The vego pizza had pineapple on it! At least it had a thin crispy base. My partner got a better deal with his steak. It is cattle area so you would expect this. The service was friendly & accommodating.
