The Mulberry House

This is my second stay with Jean and Keith. It is like staying with your favorite relatives. The breakfast is great and the room is so comfortable. It is like being in a relative’s home. Truly. Not only do you get a warm and genuine welcome from them, you get a lot of information to help you enjoy your stay. I stayed 6 nights and loved every minute. Jean and Keith make this a super place to lay your head at night. Thank you both for another excellent stay.

Had a lovely couple of nights at The Mulberry House, Gloucester. Hosts Keith and Jean were fantastic company and hugely knowledgeable about the city. Enjoyed chatting at breakfast about the history and heritage of the place. Very comfy room, had use of both bath and shower rooms. Amazing breakfast for a small B&B that consisted of muesli and cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, a delicious fry up and toast with jams and honey. 'Keith is a feeder' said Jean. She wasn't joking! He even freshly ground some coffee for me and served in a Bialetti. Gorgeous. Will definitely stay again if in the area. Cheers, Kev and Di.

When we tell friends we are going B&Bing sometimes they raise an eyebrow (I suspect they are thinking of typical seaside landladies etc) We go because we are looking to meet nice people and find a base to explore the area and we ticked both boxes here. Keith and Jean couldn't do enough for us -comfortable room and excellent breakfast. The Mulberry is on the edge of town only 5 mins drive from countryside and access to Cotswolds -15 m drive to Cheltenham and 30m to Cirencester It is 15 minute walk to the City Centre and an extra 5 down to the Cathedral , Kingsholm or the marvellously converted Quays area The City is sadly a little run down ,partly due to impact of Covid I guess and it was quiet when we were there for the same reason and also because we visited in the early part of the week. As I say I was impressed with the historical Quays area where a huge investment has clearly transformed the place . Every chance we will return to Mulberry Hse
