Great Guesthouse Great guesthouse. The bed was comfy and it was nice and quiet. The restaurant across the road also had great food and was very convenient. Nice town.

A true gem in the desert. This was simply perfect. We had been roaming Africa for 2 months on a motorcycle when we showed up in Gobabis exhausted. On our Africa journey, we stayed at many different accommodation, from the guesthouse in a small village in Tanzania to the world renowned big hotel chain. Our room at the Windpomp Guesthouse was BY FAR the best hotel room we stayed in. Period. We had the luxury room and it was simply perfection. The room was big and the bathroom was larger than the room we had in the previous town. The staff was awesome and always happy to talk to the crazy Canadians on the motorcycle. Breakfast was very good. The hotel did not have a restaurant when we were there, but there is plenty of good ones around the corner. A true gem in the Namibian desert.

We came for a wedding in Gobabis and got to stay at this wonderfull place. The service was great and the breakfast was exalent. The rooms was cosy clean and very comfortable. We would definitely come and stay with them in the future.

Die Windpomp Gastehuis / The Windpomp Guesthouse is truly one of the most welcoming and friendliest places I have ever visted in Gobabis, they go out of there way to assist their clients. The rooms are very comfortable and it was wonderful.

We stayed here at the start and end of our journey through Namibia. The owner and her mum were very welcoming as were the other staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The room was furnished in a quirky way using old Landrover parts for various items of furniture, we thought it was brilliant. Breakfast had lots of choice and the omlettes were super.

We stayed in the windpomp two times, on trip to Maun and back. Its a nice place in the middle of a quite rough town. Hard to find an acceptable restaurant, but in the windpomp you get a very good and tasty breakfast. The owner family does everything to keep the guests happy. We recommand the windpomp to all travellers driving through Gobabis.
