Sunbird Beach Resort

Unit 10A family of four, two adults, two teenagers, 5 nights. A beautiful stay! The view was gorgeous from both balconies! The apartment spacious and the facilities (2x pools/tennis court/ sauna / spa were perfect after a long day exploring. Check in was warm and welcoming and the secure car parking great. Some items in the apartment were looking old like the curtains, but didn’t impact the stay. Furnishings were lovely and beachy and the beds comfortable. Living area and main bedroom has aircon, all spaces have ceiling fans. Washer and drier was useful for the longer stay. Would absolutely stay again. Accessibility: the unit is not wheelchair accessible, but isn’t advertised as such. The shower both have larger lips to step over as do the balcony doors. The two pools and spa have handrails into them which was a great support.

Sunbird Beach Resort is well located and an easy walk to the light rail, beach and Tedder Street dining precinct. The facilities are great! The resort and grounds are manicured and spotlessly clean. Miriam, Abe and Hero do an amazing job. The view from my apartment on the 15th floor was amazing and gave my family a lift from our cool Canberra winters. Can’t recommend more highly. Thank you all sunbird team … we’ll be back

Arrived to find that there were no towels in the room so not the greatest start. Had internet issues from the outset and was finally resolved on the second to last day of our 7 day stay. Got told that any issues to just call them yourselves initially until I did get some assistance in the end as other units internet then started going down a couple of days later, otherwise not so sure we would have. The place itself is ok, bit dated but housekeeping could definitely use some work. All the windows haven’t been cleaned, so ended up getting the bucket and mop and cleaned them myself so we could at least see the sea views clearly. Would think that this would have been a part of the cleaning process. Plenty of other options out there for the money!

We stayed in unit 11A. Amazing views and decent apartment, albeit a little dated. The best thing about this complex is the facilities. Indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, tennis courts, gym. The kids absolutely loved it. The reason I have given 4 rather than 5 is that they were extremely stingy with the basics. Only a couple of squirts of dishwashing liquid, one dishwashing tablet, one rubbish bag. Annoying that after arriving at dinner time the previous night, we had nothing left to even do our breakfast dishes. I realise this is a self contained apartment but when you are staying 4 nights, this is the stingiest I’ve seen.

We booked four apartments for us and our bridal party to stay the weekend of our wedding and it was perfect! All of our family also booked apartments here. The rooms are all well maintained and renovated, it was a beautiful back drop for photos (beach view, beautifully decorated apartments, very clean and neutral), they were so spacious and accommodated a lot of women getting ready together. On top of that the staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make sure we were all okay and helped us to feel so special on such a big weekend. I would definitely stay here again, its a great location and priced so well too! We cannot rave about this place enough.

Will definitely be back at Sunbird on future Gold Coast travels. Lovely staff and apartments with free, easy parking in an excellent location. We had views of both the beach and river. The indoor pool is quite small but nice and there is a spa with jets.

The property had a great view . It had moderate modern look . It just needed a little spring clean .
