"1.Kitchen is far away from the rooms which is great.
2. Maybe as it's a youth hostel the kitchen is a little bit messy.
3. Stayed at two rooms one is very dirty the other I shared the room with a couple and the atmosphere is awkward...
4. Overall google rate is pretty accurate.
5. If you check in after 7 P.M please go to the Island hotel."
"The hotel itself was fine, but it’s clear it has seen better days. Some maintenance is needed across both the public areas and guest rooms. While everything was clean and tidy, it feels like little has been refreshed since the rebrand to Imperial Hotel.
We stayed a year ago, also in winter, and unfortunately the experience this time didn’t match the quality of our previous visit.
The staff overall were friendly, though a few of the front office team could use a reminder that a warm smile goes a long way. Having worked in the luxury hotel sector for many years, I know firsthand how much that simple gesture can enhance a guest’s stay.
Our main disappointment was with housekeeping. During our four-night stay, our room was not serviced on the third day - we had to request it after 6pm. The following day it was serviced, but not fully: towels were removed but not replaced, and amenities such as body wash were not replenished.
We didn’t dislike our stay, but the overall experience fell short compared to last year. With some attention to maintenance and service consistency, the hotel could once again deliver the high standard it has been known for."
"Fantastic resort. Had a 3 night stay in a spa suite. Beautiful room with a great view. We made use use of the excellent facilities including the pool and well appointed gym. Also booked Tees clubhouse for a birthday function catering for 80 guests . Andrew and his team ( chefs and bar staff) provided exceptional service to ensure we had a great event. Very highly recommended!"
"Very satisfied with our stay, the room came with four tickets and breakfast included. It was perfect for two adults and two children, and the beds were very spacious. We had no problem opening three suitcases in the room. Our room was on the first floor, right next to the swings, and the back door was close to the beach. You could hear a bit of noise from kids running in the hallway, but it was mostly quiet. The main reason I'd recommend staying here is the excellent value for money."
"Dorsett Gold Coast boasts a prime location, just one street away from the large shopping centre Pacific Fair. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it only takes a 10-minute walk to get to the beach. The hotel entrance is right at the Tram Station. The room facilities are quite good, featuring a small balcony that offers a view of the sea when opened. However, the shower water pressure is somewhat weak, and the floor gets a bit slippery when wet. Aside from these, I’d like to give a special shout-out to Carter at the front desk for making us feel right at home.
- Chinese Customers"
"Located in a quiet residential street yet 300m from cafes, restaurants and shops, Woodroffe is also 300m from light rail and numerous bus services. A perfect location
Modern, clean and designed for business or tourist stays. A laundry is available at Lobby level along with a cafe and guest microwave oven facilities.
Rooms are quiet and spacious. Staff are simply delightful.
View from room across yacht club to ocean."
"Great spot for anyone going to the Goldy to watch the real football at Robina Stadium.
Train line right at your doorstep as well as Robina Town Centre which caters for all your needs no matter what your situation or budget.
Nice clean, spacious, secure room with friendly staff at the front desk."
"The hotel room is clean and housekeeping services are good. The only issue is that the car park is not free. Take note if you do plan to go to the casino to play, always take a ticket when you enter the car park and when any of your travel mates have earned 5 tier points in the casino with the star club card, go claim the free car park and you can save on paying for it.
You can rent a car and go places like Yatala Pies and eat great pies."
"Before coming here, I looked at many beachfront five-star hotels and initially planned to book an apartment hotel. However, numerous negative reviews about their cleanliness deterred me, as hygiene is my top priority. I stumbled upon this hotel, which, despite being four-star, had virtually no negative reviews. Its location is excellent, within walking distance to the beach and Q1, and surrounded by many supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. The overall style of the twin-bed suite was a first for me and perfectly suited my aesthetic. With two large beds facing each other, it was ideal for my friends' family and their 14-year-old son. Our group of 7 booked three twin-bed suites. The bedding and cleaning were exceptionally clean. There's a small kitchen, microwave, complimentary milk and snacks, a round table for four perfect for dining or playing cards, and a desk for work – fully equipped. The hotel has the vibe of a boutique hotel, making the most of its space, complete with its own swimming pool, poolside bar, and a bar.
If I had to mention a drawback, it would be the lack of hot food at breakfast. The staff recommend walking 2 minutes to a local restaurant across the street for breakfast, which is of high quality."
"One of the best hotels in have ever stayed at. After a accommodation issue with a previous hotel that had me in tears this hotel was so understanding and even upgraded my room and waived the cost of parking for me. Hotel staff assisted me and my friend in loading up luggage on luggage carrier. Fantastic customer service and friendly staff. A wonderful hotel thats clean, kind, accommodating and just all around great. Definitely a top hotel to book into."

Great
GGuest UserThere was 5 of us and for a boys weekend to wet and wild it was very ideal to house us and had enough space for us all. Bathroom was a great size and felt modern enough. We had the choice of bunk beds, a double bed, and some slept on the couch as the air conditioning was in the living room. A small wall fan in the bunk bed room was pointless but the double bed room had a ceiling fan. Fridge had an incredible freezer. Unsure about the rubbish as we overfilled the small bins. Nothing to complain about, handy to be nearby a lot of shops and food places. Front area had a table for hanging out and a rail for hanging wet clothing.
GGuest UserPretty good overall. Although our view was partially obstructed by the building in front, we could still enjoy a good portion of the sea view. The kids had a fantastic time, and the two bedrooms and two bathrooms were ideal for our family with children.
GGuest UserThis hotel is quite old. The apartment is very noisy due to it's age and location. The external windows do not stop any sound from revving cars, people fighting / arguing, horns being blasted or heavy wind from a storm. All of these occurred during the one night we stayed. The interior is very dated although the shower had been modernised.
Hotel staff were pleasant.
Location is convenient to most things.
GGabchoi We were here for a family trip and I was happy to choose this hotel and it is closed to sanctuary cove and also it has good staff that help me change my room when I got trouble with one of the curtain blind,
We stay four nights and the place was clean.
We can cook inside and also it is walkable to Cole’s supermarket and it has carpark space for free too
AAnonymous UserWe booked last minute because our flight got some issues. So we just need a place to stay for a night. The room is not as big/ new as it seems on pictures but overall it’s enough. We arrived during midnight and initially they gave us a room on 7/F, the bathroom was full of bugs, all over the ceiling and even on the towels. I get that it’s spring / summer season in Australia and bugs are everywhere but at least try to make it clean for your guests, when we saw the bathroom, it felt like the staff didn’t even try to clean up before giving us the room. So we went down to the reception and asked for another room. They gave us another room on 18/F, which was much better, less bugs but not exactly no bugs on towels at all. We were really tired so we thought we could just make it through the night. The carpet is stained and we even found a juice bottle which seems to be left behind by the last guest…. They sent a staff to the 7/F to take pictures of the bathroom tho, so hopefully they will be more aware and careful with the hygiene in the future.
The hotel location is really good, close to shopping malls and restaurants, bus stop is right downstairs. Just a 10mins walk to the surfers paradise beach.
GGuest UserSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.
GGuest UserWe stayed at H residencies (room 24106) for 4 days in June. The location is amazing - close to beach, restaurants, clubs and shops. Very happening place. Beautiful view from the balcony too. Access to 3 swimming pools, spa and sauna.
However, following reasons, we were not very happy with.
- in both the bathrooms, the shower door won’t close properly, water spills outside, making the whole bathroom wet. Safety hazard as it’s very slippery and you have to be very careful. Moping and drying after each shower.
- the carpet and the rug need a good washing and cleaning. They were dusty and dirty.
- there was no conditioner or body lotion provided. It is very usual to have these amenities. I never carry them to any holiday stay overs.
- the AC won’t go more than 24C, which is generally okay but my parents felt cold it would have been good to have extra blankets or portable fan heater or fan for summer for people with different needs.
- it is next to impossible to talk to anyone. I could only contact them through TRIP.COM app or email. No one picks up the call or replied to normal message.
- there were many patches on the walls and not well presented. Furniture also looked old and dirty.
GGuest UserThe location is wonderful .. short walk to surfers paradise and skypoint is just right next door. Easy to get from airport as the tram stop is just right next to skypoint. Many cafe and restaurant choices. Did not use the pool or gym. Noise can be heard from room as the walls are thin. Easy check in .. staff did not advise much on the resort facilities and we figure out the wifi password base on the sticker on the kitchen wall. Our rooms balcony look out into the pool which is nice.
MMelzza23Unfortunately we did not have a great stay. We booked 3 apartments for a family vacation and all 3 had issues. All 3 apartments had faulty air cons. 1 air con didn’t work at all and also a toilet in that apartment didn’t work either. Also when we arrived, we found one of our carparks had a car parked in it and that 2 other guests were allocated the same Carpark as us. We all contacted the letting company and all guests were told to seek help from the apartment reception who then told us all to contact the letting company as they don’t deal with the private apartments and their carparks. So it was back and forth for hours, we even visited the office twice until the car was finally removed. In terms of the no aircon/ broken toilet room, we were told there was nothing the letting company could do about it as they only have 1 staff member on so we’d have to wait for the next day and that some of our cost would be refunded (We are still waiting). The next day, in the morning the staff member visited and said the aircon is broken and they’ll have to find another room so will get back to us. It was close to the letting company’s closing time and we hadn’t heard back so we followed up only to be told there’s no more rooms available and our family would have to make do with the fans. Our family members in the no aircon room got sick from the heat/ stuffiness even with the doors and windows open. The amenities - lagoon, gym and pool are awesome So it was really unfortunate we did not enjoy our stay due to the lack of upkeep of the apartments and the service.
GGuest UserFirstly, the room was excellent, ultra clean with bath and shower. The sheets were exemplary, bed very comfortable as were the pillows.
Bar fridge and microwave, toiletries in the bathroom.
Towels excellent.
Airconditioning excellent.
I was excited to see a very large, modern wide screen TV with onboard Android system.
Disappointed that no internet connection (so I could have used my own passwords for my streaming services.
Even more disappointed that there was no aerial connected, but I had brought my own tech and internet. I just switched off the TV.
Imagine my extreme displeasure to board the 3rd floor lift at 05:00 to have the doors closed - but no button worked!
I WAS TRAPPED IN THE LIFT!!!
I pressed the yellow emergency button for 5 seconds - no answer - pressed multiple times.
I phoned the hotel main number, so they could press the lift call button - no answer.
I phoned the 24/7 emergency 1300 number. The operator said she would send someone out - who would phone me with an ETA.
Getting anxious, being 60 years old with a heart condition, I dialled 000 to call the POLICE!
The dispatcher commended me on remaining so calm.
I assured her, being very hot in cramped spaces with very little air was definitely not conducive to my remaining calm.
They said to call 000 back if I got out before the fire brigade arrived.
Five minutes later I heard voices outside. Someone heard my banging on the lift doors and cries for help.
I GOT OUT
That night the guy on reception said sorry.
I explained that, although the room was marvelous - and that I did eventually get out, a man of my age and I'll health could have died - why wasn't anyone on duty to answer the damn lift emergency phone?
He said he was sorry.
