DoubleTree by Hilton Qinghai Golmud

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Full marks, highly recommended! This is the top choice for family stays in Golmud when driving through Qinghai and Gansu. Our family of three was on a self-driving tour of the Northwest Loop and stayed three nights in Golmud. The Hilton DoubleTree Hotel was the most reassuring and restorative stop on our entire journey. After long days of off-road driving to and from Hoh Xil and the Jade Pool of the Queen Mother of the West, returning to the hotel allowed us to completely shake off our fatigue. The overall facilities are well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. In the dry plateau environment, humidifiers and ample drinking water are provided in the rooms – thoughtful details indeed. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views of the Kunlun Mountains. The heated swimming pool and well-equipped gym are perfect for kids to play and relax. The buffet breakfast offers a rich variety, combining local specialties with common flavors. The lamb offal soup and Northwestern noodles taste authentic, ensuring there's something everyone, young and old, will enjoy. What's particularly worth mentioning is how thoughtful the hotel was: on our first day heading to Hoh Xil, we left at 5:30 AM, and the hotel specially prepared diverse breakfast bags for us. On the second day, after a normal breakfast before heading to the Jade Pool of the Queen Mother of the West, the hotel still packed fruits and snacks for us to take along – incredibly considerate! The warm service was a delightful bonus. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, especially caring towards self-driving tourists. As we were driving an off-road vehicle for a long-distance trip, the staff actively helped us settle in and directed us to parking. They were meticulous and patient throughout, considering every need for a family traveling with children, and were genuinely friendly, not just following a script. From check-in to daily room service, every detail exuded warmth and far exceeded our expectations. The location is convenient for getting to various uninhabited areas and viewpoints, and there's ample parking. Our family's three comfortable nights here safeguarded our plateau journey. If we ever come to Golmud again, we'll definitely choose this hotel without hesitation and sincerely recommend it to friends traveling by car with family!

On a business trip to Golmud, I chose Hilton. The staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was quite rich. Overall, a good experience, highly recommend!

The front desk staff was incredibly warm and thoughtful, offering an upgrade. They even helped me with my large luggage. A special thanks to Manager Sun, who was on duty and meticulously cleaned all the dust from my luggage and the car trunk, and proactively recommended great food stops along my route.

The room was pretty standard. Food delivery came straight up to the room, and the location was excellent. The breakfast offered a good variety, and the staff were very friendly. For parking, you need to scan a QR code at the front desk to exit. The front desk staff here seemed indifferent compared to those at the Delingha Hotel. What was most disappointing was that the complimentary welcome fruit was moldy. This really needs to be addressed; it was a complete letdown.

Although this hotel was renovated a long time ago, the interior is very clean and comfortable. It's clearly designed by someone who understands living, with many thoughtful details like numerous mirrors and a completely silent humidifier. All the staff are incredibly warm, enthusiastic, vibrant, and kind, genuinely caring for every guest. It feels like a lively and engaging team, which I really appreciate. I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and well-designed, spotlessly clean, and completely odor-free. The bed was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water, with all the essential amenities provided. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and friendly. The location is super convenient for transportation, yet the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. It’s definitely an excellent choice for a trip. The hygiene was top-notch; there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and the room was well-ventilated with a comfortable temperature. The soundproofing was fantastic, making for a truly quiet night's rest. The facilities were excellent, with soft, pleasant lighting. The staff were responsive and friendly. This hotel offers much better value for money than others in its price range, and I would genuinely recommend it and definitely return.

This hotel has an old-money vibe, and the guests are all very well-mannered. The soundproofing is excellent, and every detail shows care and solidity. Overall, it's very comfortable and cozy. However, we booked two rooms, but the front desk only gave us one room key. We were the only table in the restaurant, and the sole server double-served our drinks. Aside from the rooms themselves, everything else felt quite careless. If you're just looking for a quiet, comfortable place to relax and don't care about a fancy breakfast or various facilities, then come straight here. It might even be more comfortable than your own home.
