Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum

Late review: Relaxing stay at MO Bodrum. Going in September means end-of-season and less people…easy to find sun loungers with ease at any time of the day. Friendly staff, our guest services made sure our stay was perfect. Pick up service from the airport was seamless. Beautiful luxe shops on site. Our suite was beautiful and always cleaned impeccably. Breakfast was until 12.00 which was the bonus of the entire trip. This ensured we fully relaxed without having any added stress to wake up for the breakfast rush. Bravo to MO Bodrum for this; all hotels should offer later breakfast times! Overall, we felt really rested returning home.

Great experience in Mandarin Oriental Bodrum.The best hotel is Bodrum. I spent 9 days in the hotel with my family. The hotel is new and has a nice atmosphere. Mister Cuneyt is one of the best managers I met during my travels. He understood quick we need a quite location,he took care about this request very professional. The hotel has nice restaurants and we liked the main restaurant. They are organized and have great cuisine,the view is amazing. Everyone who works there makes an amazing job. They also have shisha that is a nice part of the evening. I wish to highlight the shop/little market in the hotel. They have everything you need daily or high-end cosmetics,sun cream or souvenir. Lots of toys for the children. Wonderful shop please check it out! You will be very happy. One thing I would name as possible improvement that you could notice guests that few shops and restaurants close mid October. Maybe next season they decide differently. Over all the best experience in Bodrum! Also one of the best Mandarin Orientals I visited in the past 9 years. This Mandarin Oriental had the best managers and team!

A difficult review to write as I really love the MO brand. But this property left me disappointed. The pros: - amazing lobby views, one of the best I have ever seen - gorgeous and spacious room with very thoughtful amenities especially for children - very responsive and helpful booking staff / process - very good gym The cons: - the beach has concrete slabs all long (see photo). This makes it unusable especially for small children. We were told this is seasonal (‘to protect the beach’). An element of mis- selling here vs what is looks like on the website. Had we known, we would have certainly not come here (this is not the case at other Bodrum resorts). Very disappointing to come to a luxury beach resort and see the beach like this. - a lot of construction going on making it noisy even on the beach - built on a steep hill requiring buggies for everything - a lot of cars - lining the entry to the resort , even driving inside the resort - small kids club , 2 rooms all indoors; the nice open deck kids club/play area on the website did not exist (or was not functional) - crazy prices. Stayed at MOs the world over - none is as expensive as this for food/spa Overall we thought it was extremely overpriced for the experience. More that that even, quite disappointed that there was not full transparency over the situation at the beach + construction. As a loyal MO fan I expected better.
