The room is located right in the center of Göreme town, surrounded by souvenir shops and various restaurants. It's just a few minutes' walk from the Göreme bus station, about a 20-25 minute walk to the Open Air Museum, and the panoramic viewpoint is also around a 15-20 minute walk. This means you can head out in the morning, explore a bit, and still come back for a two-hour rest before heading out again in the afternoon – perfect for leisurely travelers like me who aren't 'special forces' types! 😂
The room itself was very clean. The floor is stone, so walking barefoot didn't feel dusty at all. The bathroom is quite spacious with a separate wet and dry area. Both the shower and sink areas have plenty of hooks, and the water pressure and hot water supply were excellent! The towels and sheets were clean; my brother and I used them directly for drying off and resting. The lighting is a bit dim, but that's typical for cave hotels with their warm-toned lights.
The front desk staff were very friendly. They communicated clearly about the check-in process and answered my questions regarding the airport transfer service. There was also staff available to help with luggage.
All the guests staying there were 10 years or older, so it was generally very quiet. Aside from the rather loud prayer broadcast, it was peaceful most of the time.
The breakfast selection was quite local. For a 'Chinese stomach,' I'd say it was more for trying new things... The bread items were good, and there were plenty of drinks.
Overall, the stay was a great experience! I originally wasn't planning on staying in a cave hotel, but this one turned out to be really good. I'd recommend staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor for better convenience and ventilation.
