Really enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely stay again. Front desk were very accomodating, helping to ensure I got the bus to my next destination without running into trouble or getting scammed. Booked a tour at the travel counter and had a great time. Staff were very friendly.

Even though I made a reservation that included breakfast, I was told that it was no longer possible, and even when I showed them my English reservation confirmation, they said that it was not correct.
I managed to push through.
When I stayed for an additional night, they did not replace the bath towels.

We were attended to by the BOP staff when we called for assistance to set up the board room at the last minute call. The BOP team arranged and set up the meeting room on time and meeting venue was prepared in time for our board meeting to proceed half day and 1 full day. the service was excellent and the staff were very attentive especially Ms Alisa Bate and the Residential Manager - Mr. Bokie The buffet lunch was excellent service on time for our Management and Board to have lunch. I would recommend BOP to anyone who wishes to stay at the BOP, their services are excellent. thank you Maxine

Giving a 2star rating purely for the effort of the staff: Goroka town faced a water outage and the hotel management weren't bothered to pay for water trucks to refill the reserve tanks. Guests were forced to refill a bucket of water out of a wheelie bin and carry it to their rooms for use. The management needs a revamp, too much complacency and lack of urgency towards the guest experience. Kudos to the staff on ground for trying to manage a shortfall that was clearly beyond their reach of influence.

The Bird of Paradise hotel is one of few hotels in Goroka and is considered the best hotel in town. Well maybe but it’s not well maintained, rooms are expensive for what they are, the restaurant food is overpriced and not great and does not take advantage of the abundant fresh vegetables readily available, and everyday of our 4 night stay food on the menu was not available, service is incredibly slow though the staff were lovely. Not sure if it’s incredibly poor management, lack of investment in staff training or poor processes or all 3. Either way Coral Seas Hotels should not be happy with the state of the hotel. Nonetheless we had a fantastic visit to Goroka and the surrounding areas.

The Hotel is situated right in the heart of Goroka town providing best hospitality services. They have conference room facilities, restaurants,bars and pokies. You won't be disappointed with friendly reception and guest services. You'll enjoy your stay there

Probably the best option in town, although a far cry from developed standards. A quick 5 mins walk from the airport makes the location very convenient, and you can also find a nearby mall, supermarket, and a couple of pharmacies. However, most of the rooms face the main road, which means loud noise all night long. I would have preferred a room facing the back garden instead. The food in the restaurant is good and clean. The rooms are decent but the bathrooms very old and on the dirty side. They provide soap and shampoo though, which is very nice. I used their laundry service, which was super quick and super cheap.
