Close to historical town. I was told there was a pool but didn't use it. Room is good size for solo travels with a small refrig. Clean. There is breakfast service but I didn't try it.

Incredibly tired and aged hotel, poorly lit corridors, which for a single lady travelling was daunting to either return home from a meal out or an early morning riser. Breakfast was poor-sun standard even for mass produced breakfast slop for tourists., glasses smelt like wet dog and coffee was the worst ever! Had to buy a red bull from the well stocked vending machine. Cleaners started at 6:30am - which just removed that slow start into the day with noise straight away. Bar staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were clean but cheap thin carpet under toes felt nasty. Patio furniture cushions were so thin, there was zero comfort in sitting there. For such a majestic building in a beautiful part of this beautiful part of Germany, the owners lack of commitment to their staff and customers is evident and are using this as a cash cow.

The hotel was well situated with the centre and Train station a short walk away. The breakfast was good and the Room was very spacious even with 3 beds. A lovely hotel and would highly recommend if staying in goslar

We were promised a room with ac which we did not receive we also booked a design room which was supposed to be bigger but was not. We still had to pay the same price. Much of the staff was rude and could not speak English. Then when we checked out the hotel director of this very awful hotel screamed at my wife when I got there and then threw us out and made loud violent verbal attacks on both me and my wife. Absolutely insane. How they can still be in business is a complete mystery.

· Location of the hotel is very strategic and convenient. The staffs can speak English and German Buffet breakfast was Ok, although price is abit steep for the little variety available - 15€ per person. Disliked · The ceiling light - the main room light - was not working since the moment I checked in. I had to inform reception 3 times, and only on the 3rd time when I went down directly to reception to inform, did they mentioned that they are unable to fix my room light! So I spent 5 days 4 nights in a hotel room with NO room light except for the toilet light and the small tiny lamps at the head of your bed, which cannot do anything in the room! Extremely disappointed with this, no compensation whatsoever for this technical trouble!

The bathroom was uncomfortably small. There were no basic amenities in the bathroom, like a small bottle of shampoo or lotion or a bottle of water in room. The pillows were in name only and were so worn out that they served no purpose. The bed was uncomfortable. Most importantly they did not clean our room. The check out time is 10 am and the fee for being an hour late for check out is $100. I don't recommend staying here. The Romantic Hotel is a better option and very centrally located.
