Hotel Violet

We stayed here for two nights and two nights as we were attending a live concert at a nearby stadium. I don't recommend it. After reading the bad reviews on Trip.com, I visited this motel (it is called a hotel on this site and in English, but the local Korean name is motel. In fact, I think motel is more correct considering the situation) without any expectations. Here are my honest impressions. ・Language I saw a review that said "No English is spoken at all," and as stated above, no English is spoken. It was my first time to stay in a hotel with no English signs at all. I managed to get by because I had a little Korean, but I think it would be difficult to communicate if you don't know the language at all. ・Indoor environment It's not clean, but it's not bad. The room was lukewarm, and perhaps due to the lack of windows, the ventilation seemed insufficient. There was no closet, but there was a cloakroom where you could hang your coat, and there were slippers in the room. My friend and I checked every corner of the bed, but there were no bedbugs. A TV, computer, hair iron, hair dryer, hairbrush (not the individually wrapped ones you see in hotels, but the kind you find in grandma's house), electric kettle, refrigerator, and indoor wear are provided. The keyboard of the computer was covered in dust. The towels provided were probably washed, but there were noticeable stains. ・Bathroom In the style commonly seen in Korean homes, the shower and toilet floors are connected. After using the shower, the toilet floor gets wet, so I used the vinyl slippers provided. There is also solid hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. I didn't use them (I used the ones I brought with me), so I don't know how they feel. If you have stayed at a dormie overseas, I think the hygiene is within the acceptable range. There is no luggage storage before check-in. Trip.com said there was, but they insisted that they couldn't, so I paid the early check-in fee (₩40,000) and left them in the room. You need to leave your room key at the counter when you go out. There is a cat in the hallway. The stadium and subway are just a stone's throw away, and the area around the motel is thriving with plenty of convenience stores, cafes and restaurants. The location is really great. It's fine if, like us, you're traveling just to attend a concert.

There was no hotel because it was AGF, but it wasn't bad. I think I'll consider it again next time I go to AGF. It's also not bad that the check-in time is in the afternoon.

The hotel is about 500 meters away from the KINTEX exhibition hall, and it takes up to 10 minutes to walk there The front desk of the hotel is a family, the young ones can speak English, and there are two lazy cats at the front desk Downstairs is the Dahwadi Station of Metro Line 3. It takes about 40 minutes to change trains to the Seoul shopping subway. There are restaurants around the hotel, liveyong stores, seveneleven, and fruit shops 10 minutes walk to Lotte Mart
