Villa del Mar

This is a beautiful, hidden gem. Well-maintained and beautiful and close to everything. It was great for us and our family. Got two rooms and they were spacious and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Front staff top notch! Went above and beyond to help us. Lovely grounds and very quiet.

I would not recommend this property if you are looking for a nice resort. The rooms are in really poor condition (cracks in floor, picture frame wall art broken, shower fixtures broken) and thus overpriced for the area. And the location is across the street from the beach.

Was exactly what we hoped for. Walking distance to the beach and all of the shops and other dining. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice they have 2 pools and the hot tub was great!

The people of the Turks and Caicos islands are a big part of what made our trip so special and easy, especially as first-timers there. The folks at Villa Del Mar were AWESOME! Just ask and you will receive, it's that simple. Down to earth, not judgy, and just super genuine and helpful staff. You can spend a LOT more money if you walk 100 steps from Villa Del Mar and stay ON the water, but I ask you.... Why in the world would you do that???!

We absolutely love the Villa Del Mar. We’ve stayed there twice. Reason it’s getting a 4 star is the service and the items in the room this time. We just had to request towels, wash clothes , cooking pans, toilet paper and etc. Outside of this particular thing, the rest of the resort area is amazing. We would stay there again.

The property is located in a great area but the room had a strong odor of mildew or mold

The location is very nice. The room was very clean. The hot tub did not work the entire time we were there. Breakfast selection was limited. It would be nice if they offered at least some yogurt, or other breakfast items. We requested a room on a higher floor but we’re placed on the ground floor. Asked for a one hour later check out but it was denied.

The resort itself is not on the beach-which we knew. We reserved a 2 bdrm 2 bath & I called prior to arriving to confirm that. When we arrived I was told we couldn’t have booked a 2 bdrm 2 bath because they didn’t have that. If we wanted that we would have to pay $2500 more for our stay. We agreed & moved to the 4th floor in - wait for it- a 2 bdrm 2 bath. The rooms need updating & a deep clean. Our phone in the bedroom never worked. The sofa/chairs are stained & several of the drawers in dressers need repair/replacing. The pots & pans are non-stick & need to be replaced. The breakfast…. It was bread, a few pastries, oranges & bananas some days & stale cereal. A few juices from concentrate & watered down. A simple change to the breakfast would make it a nicer experience. Having a w/d was nice but no laundry supplies provided. Every day when the cleaning women came in we never could get a washcloth…. Seems like a little thing…. Also most days we had to call for hand towels. Their beach area (chairs & umbrellas) was supposed to have an attendant. He was not to be found several of our days. It didn’t matter much because you couldn’t get a clean towel from him because the only place to get a towel is the front desk. (Note I said “A” towel). The pool was nice & clean and mostly empty. They were in the process of sanding & restaining the chaise lounges. Most of the staff was very nice. I’d say if you know ahead of time these things you would enjoy your stay.
