Club Med la Pointe Aux Canonniers

We had an amazing stay at Club Med. The staff were wonderful and many became friends. The waterski guys were especially friendly and fun! Felt like we lived in pure paradise for a week.

About the People working here, I am clearly grateful and thankful to have met: A). Atanas, Jean Michel and Alaska from the Sports Team. What can I say? These 3 guys look each of them like the real avengers. Unbelievable how much they work, always friendly, capable and just managing all kinds of stuff with best attitude. B) Edely at the Main Bar (he was just incredibly attentive) C) Vanessa from Restaurant Alma, I consider her the best at the late breakfast turn. D) Lorenzo from Sailing, he was so friendly to my daughter, my son and me. Lovely man, E) Gary, was showing my son and me how to dance. Taking care of us, being sooo friendly, I am leaving out of my comment many people here because these were just the ones we noticed the most. About the room. The frame of the window to the Balkony is just separated from the wall, three geckos were in our room inside, due to it. We just sleep and shower here, this was strange but for us not catastrophic. We stayed 10 days. A very good shower, I am missing a better cosmetic mirror in the bathroom with better light. I like to have my children’s room at the side of mine. Separated from the rest of the rooms. About the food: excellent! About the all you can eat “lobster” dinner. It took 1 hour to get a coke to drink. No bread, nothing, so many people left angry without eating. You cannot offer this. Terrible! About the excursions: A) blue safari “submarine” excursion. Awesome! B) speedy boat (under bad weather conditions at the sea) you will not snorkel much there. Way too fast! And I am never sensitive to speed. 2 hours lost having food in a very dirty beach. Highlight: seeing dolphins on that day. About the water ski: this is the most complicated to grade. When the children go with the kids club or teen club, they get a better treatment than the children who just come with the parents. Also if they don’t speak French they will be ignored. I find this service frustrates some of the children. This should be improved. My children don’t speak French. There only chance to be treated “nicely” was going with the kids club. What a shame! I am not sure if the people there notice how they behave. All in all 5 stars. Lots of activities, sports and fun, friendly people, also the guests. But if you don’t speak French, you might feel very misplaced. I will not give less stars just because I don’t speak French, which was unfortunately my case.

We had a great time at La Pointe. We would like to thank Kaviraj for keeping our room clean and for always being so kind and friendly and responding to our any request. We also really enjoyed the fitness lessons with Alaska, so much that we sometimes came back twice or more a day for his lessons. At the watersports we would like to thank Eden and her wonderful team of GO’s, in particular Joe who was so kind and helpful. Furthermore, we had a great snorkeling trip with Andy, really well organized. And we were very happy with the service at the bar, in particular Edley who was always so friendly and helpful. But to be honest, we were really positively surprised by the kindness and enthusiasm of all the GO’s, waiters and all the other personnel at this resort. And last but definitely not least we would like to thank Mr Abdel for all the great food and Mr Stephane for all the delicious patisseries every day. We will definitely come back!

We came back to Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers after a wonderful stay two years ago. The setting is still beautiful, and our children had an amazing time, they truly loved every minute. However, as returning guests, we couldn’t help but feel that the overall quality has dropped. Service felt inconsistent, sometimes even uncomfortable, and many small details that used to make the experience so smooth were missing this time. Some of the staff seemed uncertain or less engaged, which made the atmosphere less warm and effortless than before. It’s still a great family destination, but the level of care and hospitality no longer matches the Club Med standard we remembered. I hope management takes note, as this place has the potential to be exceptional again.

Everything amazing, Gios are amazing so good service, especially Jameel, Sohail and Droles. And so many nice activities, the shows were amazing to!!

Great family resort, entertaining and awesome beach! Our little one loved Mini Club, a special shout out to Akilesh, Jojo, Zigi, chrissi, Kevin, Ian and so many others. Additional shout out's to Steven and William at main bar; Mahen at Zen Bar for great coffee, drinks and pool service; Adriano for teaching to sail and being a great teacher! Grace for the amazing family time craft activities and sand castle competition that we never knew we were good at ; Winsley at archery; Suhail for teaching us to water ski and Andy for taking us snorkelling. Some improvement tips for the Club: Dining service on clearing and drinks could be faster and more efficient, more clearer information on kids activities and starting locations/times to avoid confusion. All inclusive should include snacks for kids like crips, sweet and chocolates - not only pancakes. Bar music should not only cater for the French. We were at the bar for 7 nights and only 1 night had minimal French music/French songs.
